Exclusive Interview: JDOTG

I recently had the honor & pleasure of interviewing the up & coming rapper out of Belzoni, MS. JDOTG recently performed at The Bike & Car Show ft. Trina in Belzoni, MS. Not bad for his first show huh. He had the crowd on begging for more. So I guess you are asking yourself who is JDOTG? Well you are about to find out just that.

Who is JDOTG is the name of the mixtape that everyone is asking for. JDOTG (James Fields) was born on August 24, 1984 in Jackson, MS. JDOTG graduated from Humphreys County High School in 2003. The place where he had twenty rap battles a day & never lost. Which leads me to my first question.

Miss Mo: How long have you been pursuing a career in the music industry?

JDOTG: I actually started messing with music when l was heavy into sports between the ages of nine and ten. At the same time I was heavy into sports so I didn't get serious about it until high school.

Miss. Mo: Who would you want to collaborate with?

JDOTG: I would like to collaborate with the rappers that don't just rhyme words they tell real stories that make you think. People like Jay-Z ,Nas, Lupe Fiasco, T.I., Lil Wayne, Talib Kweli, Wale, Mos Def, Kanye West and Drake to name a few.

Miss Mo: What do you think of the rap game today?

JDOTG: In my opinion the rap game today is getting back to the roots. Where your skills put you in the forefront.

Miss. Mo: What can we look forward to coming from JDOTG?

JDOTG: Being perfectly honest with you nothing but pure greatness. From a series of mixtape and a album you can never stop listening to. I really held back on a lot of gems that could have been on the mixtape but in my opinion it was classic material after the first five songs. Just real music, therapy for the mind and medicine for the soul. I feel like I'm a breath of fresh air at the right time.

Miss. Mo: Is there any shout outs you would like to give?

JDOTG: Shout out to my wife first of all. We bonnie and Clyde forever so we do this together. Big ups to everyone who were fans from the beginning and much love to those who just now discovering who the next and up incoming legend from the south. To my mother all that noise and racket I was making in the beginning is now great music. To my father you told me this is what I should focus on when I was younger. Dad, I took your advice. To my lil sis you probably somebody who listens to me the longest along with a few others. And last but not least my brother from another Boo Hudson.
