Keri Hilson will be sharing cover duties of the December/January issue of Vibe magazine with fellow ATLien T.I. The singer and songwriter is preparing to release her second album, No Boys Allowed, on December 21.

The first lady of Ruff Ryders, Eve has announced that her long awaited album Lipstick Alley and discusses a possible upcoming Ruff Ryder reunion.

In an interview with Ms. Drama, Eve states that after splitting with Interscope and signing with EMI, fans will definitely get the long awaited album now titled Liplock.

“I am definitely releasing the album,” Eve said in the interview. “I am no longer on Interscope, I’m now on EMI so the album is definitely coming at the top of the year.”

Although the album has no official release date, Eve states that the album will have guest appearances by Akon, Swizz Beatz, Mastercraft and Chitty Bang.

In regards to reuniting with her old Ruff Ryder Crew, Eve states, there is always love.

“You never leave Ruff Ryder,” Eve said. “I plan on doing something with them soon, so be on the lookout.”

The Ladies in Hip Hop gave their 2 cents on the state of the female MC in BET’s documentary, My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women In Hip Hop. Missy, Trina, MC Lyte, Salt N Pepa and more discussed the past, present and future of female MCs. They also talk about how they use the music in transitioning into other professions. They also give tips and advice on conquering the music industry and being successful.

Rapper Eve hopes that the increasingly popular Nicki Minaj will encourage more females rappers in the hip hop music industry.

The 'Let Me Blow Ya Mind' rapper said that as Minaj is so different, she represents another style of female rapper.

In an interview with Rap-Up, Eve said: "Even though Nicki is representing for females period, she's not representing for every female. She's a specific type of entertainer.

"There are a lot of different kind of men out there representing for the males, and you need a lot of different females that represent for the different kinds of females... Honestly, between [Lauryn Hill] and me and Nicki being out there, hopefully a lot of other females will be coming up."

BET Networks takes an in-depth look at the role of female rappers in the hip-hop industry in the premiere of its first original music documentary special, My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women and Hip Hop.

The documentary will give an inside look at how women have affected rap music, and in turn how rap music affects female MCs of past and present.

Artists such as MC Lyte, Missy Elliott, and Queen Latifah contributed significantly to the shaping of hip hop music, bringing new sounds to the record labels. With the emergence of a younger generation of women in hip-hop including Nicki Minaj and Diamond, My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women and Hip Hop will serve as a commentary for how hip hop music is influenced by women and vice versa.

This documentary examines gender-specific differences in artistry, marketing, promotion and economics, explores why there are far fewer female than male MCs, and discusses whether there’s still a place for women in hip-hop.

My Mic Sounds Nice: A Truth About Women and Hip Hop features revealing interviews with journalists, executives, and rappers, including Missy Elliott, EVE, Trina, Rah Digga, MC Lyte, Yo Yo, Questlove, along with hip-hop moguls Jermaine Dupri, Russell Simmons, Kevin Liles and many more.

The documentary will premiere on August 30th at 10:00 PM EDT on BET
