Update: Fantasia Admits To Abortion During Divorce Trial Of Ex-Lover


As we told you a few days ago, Fantasia admitted in court that she had aborted her love child with Antwuan Cook. Now we have audio of her admission. Hear the confession below.

On Monday, Fantasia confessed during the divorce proceedings of Antwaun Cook and his soon-to-be his ex-wife Paula that she aborted a child conceived during their affair.

According to RadarOnline,

"...Fantasia is questioned by a lawyer for Paula Cook. Fantasia is a reluctant witness. At first she discusses a letter she wrote to Antwaun about wanting to have his baby. Then she is pinned down by the opposing lawyer who gets her to confess to the abortion in dramatic testimony."

Fantasia admitted to having an abortion sometime around August, which is around the time she was admitted to the hospital for a failed suicide attempt.

Here's part of the transcript:


Lawyer: "See if you recognize this as being a letter you wrote to Mr. Cook on May 10th 2010" (inaudible)

(inaudible) Fantasia reads the letter to the court. "I want you. I pray every night that I can be in your life forever, be your friend, lover, prayer partner, wife and MOTHER OF YOUR CHILDREN. As long as I can have you I will be the happiest girl in the world." (inaudible)

Lawyer: "Ms Barrino, when you wrote this letter, you said you wanted to be the mother of his children, is this right?"Fantasia: "Uh huh."

Lawyer: "Were you pregnant with his child when you wrote this letter?"Fantasia: "No, no."

Lawyer: "Is it true at one point you told him you had an abortion?"Fantasia's Lawyer: Objection!
(ARGUMENTS BETWEEN LAWYERS)

Lawyer: "Ms Barrino, isn't it true that you told Mr. Cook that you had aborted his child?"Fantasia: "When I wrote this letter I was speaking in future references. Like, one day, I would love to be all of these things that I wrote. I was not pregnant with his child."

Lawyer: "But did you tell Mr. Cook you aborted his child?"Fantasia: "I did, yeah."

Lawyer: "When did you tell Mr. Cook you had aborted his child?Fantasia: "I'm not sure."

Lawyer: "When did you abort his child?"Fantasia: "It hasn't been too long ago."

Lawyer: "What's not too long ago?Fantasia: "I'm not sure."

Lawyer: "I'm sorry?"Fantasia: "I'm not sure. Probably when all this other stuff was happening."

Lawyer: "Is it your testimony that this summer?"Fantasia: "I'm not really sure."

Lawyer: "How close in proximity was it to Mr. Cook leaving? In June 2010."Fantasia: "It was right after he left his home."

Lawyer: "Mrs. Cook contends that she separated from Mr. Cook in June 16th 2010. How close in proximity to her date of separation did you contend that you aborted his child?"Fantasia: "I'm not sure. Probably August when the other stuff happened."

Reports are now saying Paula Cook may sue Fantasia under North Carolina law for Alienation of Affection. Not a great way to celebrate Thanksgiving. But Fanny is trying. She was spotted at Millions of Milkshakes with her daughter Zion on yesterday (Nov 24):

Fantasia Tries To Cook Up Settlement With Boyfriend’s Ex-Wife


After meeting with her boyfriend’s Antwaun Cook’s wife Paula Cook for 14 hours, Fantasia may still be facing a lawsuit for “stealing” Cook’s husband.

Radaronline is reporting the American Idol winner met with her boyfriend’s scorned wife, Paula Cook, earlier this month in an attempt to keep the details of Barrino’s alleged affair with Antwaun Cook private and out of the Mecklenburg County courthouse.

A source close to the situation says the two women attempted to settle their dispute through private mediation but the ladies were unable to reach a settlement, propelling Cook to move forward with a civil lawsuit against the singer.

“Fantasia was prepared to pay Paula as much as $100,000 to settle during their mediation, but it fell through,” another source told RadarOnline.com.

“Paula plans on going all the way and is going to sue Fantasia for Alienation of Affection.”

Fantasia Barrino's Suicide Drama Filmed For Reality Show


Fantasia Barrino has relived her lowest moments which talks about her recent attempted suicide for season 2 of her reality show, 'Fantasia For Real'.

In an advert for the show, the singer says: “My love life is very touchy. I’ve been in a lot of different situations that haven’t been good for me.”

The new season starts this weekend and captures the star from the 911 phone call right up to where the sad Barrino is at the hospital, where she woke up after having overdosed on aspirin and a sleeping aid.

In the ad, she also says: “I have not fulfilled my destiny. It’s not time for me to go anywhere. And I can still fight, still keep going. I’m better now.”

Fantasia Breaks Down During Wendy Williams’ Interview


Fantasia was a guest on the Wendy Williams show earlier today and became emotional when Wendy Williams questioned her about her recent suicide attempt. When Wendy asked “Did you think about your daughter”, Fantasia grabbed some tissue and revealed “At the time I wasn’t thinking about anybody”. She then went on to explain how she was feeling at that moment in her life:


Nobody knows how heavy it gets. You see the glitz and the glamour and you think “they got it, they got it all” but a lot of times when you come into this industry you have people that say that they are there for you but a lot of times they are just there to get what they can get or because money is involved. I am 26 years old and so many times I’ve looked around and notice that everybody that started with me is now gone and nobody was there to help me clean it up. So I had to do it all by myself


Well atleast she’s talking about it….maybe the entire situation will help someone else

Fantasia Talks About Haters, Destiny and More at Her “Back to Me” Album Release Party in Vegas


R&B singer Fantasia is back and more ready than ever!


In an effort to promote her brand new album Back to Me, the former American Idol winner performed at Palm’s Casino Resort’s Rain Nightclub in Las Vegas over the weekend and told the crowd that people may have thought she was done for….but now they’re going to be in for a rude awakening.



“They thought I was finished, they thought I was done. I would never ever stop, I don’t care what no one says. I was in the hospital but now I bounce back. Don’t ever let your haters stop you. Don’t ever let them stop your destiny.”


Good for you Fannie….we knew all of that was just a phase.


Snoop Dogg also took the stage along with Fannie at the nightclub as other celebs like Demi Moore, Ashton Kutcher, Michael Phelps and Soleil Moon Frye took in the concert from the audience.

First Look at Fantasia’s VH1 Behind the Music TV Special: “I knew exactly what I was doing”


R&B singer Fantasia Barrino’s highly anticipated VH1 Behind the Music television special airs tonight at 9 pm, and video footage of the American Idol winner talking about her recent suicide attempt has been released!


In the clip, a noticeably emotional Fantasia talks about what pushed her over the edge and caused her to down an entire bottle of pills in an attempt to take her own life, adding that she knew “exactly” what she was doing.

Fantasia Sings For Tyrus Thomas

About a week after her 'suicide attempt', Fantasia Barrino hit the stage at the Big Chill in Charlotte, NC as a surprise performer to close out the Birthday Celebration/Comedy Show for Charlotte Bobcats player Tyrus Thomas. VH1 camera crews were in attendance, as Fantasia performed a set of old school jams.

Fantasia’s Dad: “My Daughter Needs Time”



Fantasia’s father Joseph Barrino tells RadarOnline.com that his daughter needs time but is a strong girl who will pull through with God’s help and the singer is once again caring for her young daughter Zion.

Joseph Barrino says:

“Zion was staying with both myself and her grandmother but she is back with Fantasia now. She is getting a lot of comfort with being with her daughter and the doctors have told her just to rest. My daughter just needs time – she is a strong girl and with God’s help she will be okay.


“Fantasia was pleased with all the messages of support from her fans but just now she just needs to rest and bring everything back together. This has been a difficult time but she will pull through.”

We hope Fantasia will be okay!

Fantasia Barrino's Overdose: The 911 Call


After singer Fantasia Barrino swallowed a bottle of aspirin, her manager had someone put her in the shower to keep her from losing consciousness, according to the 911 tape released by Charlotte, N.C., police today.

Barrino's manager, Brian Dickens, called 911 at 8:53 p.m. Monday, after finding the 2004 "American Idol" winner almost unconscious in her Charlotte mansion.

When the 911 operator asked him what happened, Dickens said, "An individual took a bottle of aspirin and she's slowly losing consciousness."

"Are you with the patient now?" the operator asked.

Dickens, on his cell phone, responded, "I'm outside, but someone else is with her inside."

"Is she awake?"

"Slowly losing consciousness," Dickens said, adding that Barrino was "halfway" awake.

"Is she breathing?"

"Yes," Dickens replied.

The operator asked if Barrino was violent or had a weapon, to which Dickens said no.
Asked where she was now, Dickens said he had her put in the shower to "keep her awake."

Fantasia’s Suicide Attempt Is Not Convincing


Sorry Fantasia, I do not believe you. Yesterday singer Fantasia reportedly made a suicide attempt by trying to overdose with pills. This comes directly after news broke that she was dating a married man and that the wife may be in preparation to sue Fantasia and her now estranged husband. Am I the only one that smells a pity party being drummed up for publicity?

What makes me question whether this was authentic is that just days ago Fantasia was very cocky and confident in her romance with Antwaun Cook. She herself said that she was not responsible for the marriage being dissolved. The ex wife is even said to have spoken with Fantasia where she instructed the wife” that the next time she has a husband she will learn how to keep him”. Did I mention the suspected sex tape of Fantasia and Antwaun Cook that is said to be released soon?

All of this combined made for bad publicity for Fantasia. Probably much worse than she has ever experienced. You see, she is not accustomed to being bullied by the media. She is more so accustomed to being treated with sympathy. From her sad story on American Idol, to her Lifetime autobiographical movie about her poor upbringing ,sexual attacks from an ex boy friend, and teen pregnancy all the way to her letting the world know a few years ago that she could not read.

We have all grown accustomed to feeling a level of sympathy for Fantasia who seemingly had it much harder than other female Pop stars like Beyonce, Rihanna, Alicia Keys and others. Many women looked at her and saw a piece of themselves and their struggles. Now, the tides have shifted and she is making it difficult for people to feel as much sympathy for her when she sleeps with a married man, tattoos’ his name on her after a short time of knowing him, and harasses the ex wife. These things combined can give the media something to talk about and believe me, they are not being as delicate with Fantasia as they once were. She also has a strong female audience who usually support her and with the new homewrecker status she has earned, women are not so happy with her.

This is why I am not convinced that the suicide attempt was authentic. I think that it was a ploy by her team to gain our sympathies yet again. As if to say, look guys, she still is that same po’ simple, illiterate Fantasia that doesn’t know any better. We all must excuse her. Sorry I do not believes that she did not know that this man was married since…She talked to the wife. Secondly, I am not convinced that She is apologetic about her actions with this married man since she has his name inked on her body.

Third this is the same woman who lied about the relationship stating “Yes, [the rumors] were all really cute to me. I guess it was something about a guy from T-Mobile? Inaccurate. He was hot, but I think I’m looking for my own man. There’s no boo in my life, I’m married to my career. I have no tattoo on my shoulder… As a matter of fact, I’ve never even [met him] before. I think I’d want to be with a guy who’s in the same tax bracket as I am … or higher!” Why should we believe that this is not a ploy to get back on the good side of the media? I think that she feels sorry for herself and the witch hunt that the media is now forcing on her. This “suicide attempt” is a plea for sympathy rather than help.

Fantasia’s Overdose Caused By Media Attention

Fantasia Barrino overdosed on “aspirin and a sleep aid” Monday night, but her injuries are not life-threatening, her manager said.

The overdose came the same day she read a court complaint from a woman who alleged that Barrino carried on a year-long affair with her husband, according to manager Brian Dickens.

“Fantasia is heartbroken and is sorry for any pain she may have caused,” Dickens said in a written statement to CNN. “Yesterday, she was totally overwhelmed by the lawsuit and the media attention.”

Fantasia Is Involved In Sex Tape Scandal!


“American Idol” winner Fantasia Barrino is being accused of making sex tapes with her married boyfriend Antwaun Cook. Antwaun’s wife Paula Cook is claiming not only did Fantasia have an affair with her husband, but she made a sex tape with him.

Paula claims that her husband met the 2004 Idol champ in a T-Mobile store in Charlotte last summer and started a steamy affair soon after.

“Throughout the course of their adulterous affair, upon information and belief, Defendant/Husband and Ms. Barrino have at times recorded their illicit sexual activity,” the complaint alleges.

Paula claims Fantasia once told her:

“He don’t want you…maybe next time that you get a husband you’ll know how to keep him….That’s why he is here with me.”

FANTASIA sex tape divorce scandal



According to docs obtained by WCNC, Paula Cook filed for child support against her estranged husband Antwaun Cook last week and cited an alleged affair between Cook and Barrino. She claims the two met at a T-Mobile store and, beginning in August 2009, began their "covert adulterous affair."

Cook goes on to claim, "Throughout the course of their adulterous affair ... Defendant/Husband and Ms. Barrino have at times recorded their illicit activity."

Rumors of an affair between Barrino and Cook have been around for months -- and Barrino has always denied them.
