Usher Gets Kicked In Head By Female Fan Trying To Be Sexy


Usher got kicked in the head last night while on tour and performing at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

He invited a lady up on stage to lay on a couch with him while singing “Trading Places,” but when she tried to sexily swing her legs around and wrap them his head, she…missed.

Photo: Usher And Sons In W Magazine’s Family Issue


A family portrait was in order for Usher and his two sons, Usher V and Naviyd, for the December issue of W magazine. Usher gave an inside look at how having children has changed him:
“When you put the passion between a man and a woman up against having children, it doesn’t hold a candle. I’ve never known passion like what my children have helped me feel. Mine was a little more of a rock star’s world before. When you have to childproof your house, everything changes — your furniture selection, your car selection. You become a lot more conscious, or at least I did.”

Ne-Yo Claims He Discovered Justin Beiber Before Usher


R&B singer/producer Ne-Yo has revealed that he had spotted Justin Bieber’s talent even before the teen sensation was introduced into the music world by singer Usher.

According to straightfromthea.com, Ne-Yo claims that Justin did a cover of one of his songs on YouTube, which created a buzz.

“He came to a show and performed and was incredible then, but I didn’t do anything because he was just 11-year-old.”

Fast forward to four years later, Justin auditioned for Usher and was signed up by Island Def Jam chairman Antonio “L.A.” Reid.

But at a launch party for Rico Love’s new record label last weekend, Usher remained mum on the discrepancy. When Usher was asked about the claim, the hit-maker declined: “Um — next question please.”

Ne-Yo adds that he’s ok with his decision but despite Bieber’s huge success under Usher’s wing, Ne-Yo still felt the need to throw some shade, he states that Justin’s hits aren’t memorable and he still has some work to do.

Is this the start of a new beef????

Ciara & Usher “Turn It Up”



Ciara and her labelmate Usher have recorded a song together, “Turn It Up.”

For those who were disappointed that Ciara did not appear on Usher’s “Hot Tottie” as planned, you’ll be happy to know that the two have served up another dance floor-ready tune.

The song was written by Ester Dean, who also penned another recent collaboration: Rihanna & Drake’s “What’s My Name (Remix)” [NEW MUSIC]

“I love it loud, can you turn it up?” asks Ciara as Usher, and the two continue to trade verses.

The song will supposedly be included on her new album, ‘Basic Instinct’, which hits stores on December 14th.

Hopefully these two make a video worth watching!

Usher Emulates Sammy Davis, Jr. On Ebony Tribute Cover



Usher is the latest artist to pay tribute to a legend on Ebony magazine’s 65th anniversary cover.

Usher recreates a cover done by Sammy Davis, Jr. in the 1960s. The star is seen rocking a crisp blue suit designed by Maison Martin Margiela.


He is the sixth celebrity we’ve seen honor an icon.

Multi-Platinum selling superstars Usher and Mary J. Blige have announced that they are to tour the UK.


R&B crooner Usher is to play his first live dates on this side of the pond in six years as part of his worldwide  OMG Tour in early 2011, kicking off in Manchester on 26th January.



Meanwhile, Mary J. Blige is to make her return to the UK live circuit – after a two year hiatus – this November.

Nicki Minaj, Usher, B.o.B, And More Rehearse For VMAs


Usher is set to perform at tonight’s MTV Video Music Awards, but he won’t be the only one dancing. It looks like Nicki Minaj will be doing a little two step too. Cameras caught her and her dancers during rehearsals; her set is said to be choreographed by Laurie Ann Gibson (“Making the Band”).





B.o.B will perform “Nothing on You” with Bruno Mars and “Airplanes” with Hayley Williams for the very first time (the two just met this weekend).

And Swizz Beatz will help out Drake and Mary J. Blige during a performance of “Fancy.”

Usher Announces Fall Tour Dates


Usher has announced dates for his fall “OMG Tour.” Fresh off the success of Raymond v. Raymond and his Versus EP, Usher will be hitting the road at stops across America from November 10 to December 18.

Randy Phillips, president and CEO of AEG Live says,

“Songs like ‘OMG,’ ‘DJ Got Us Fallin’ in Love,’ ‘There Goes My Baby,’ ‘Papers,’ ‘Daddy’s Home,’ ‘Lil Freak’ with Nicki Minaj, and ‘Hot Tottie’ with Jay-Z have dominated the airwaves since last February. Is Usher Moving In With His Girlfriend Grace Miguel?


Usher and his much older girlfriend Grace Miguel may be moving in together. The couple was spotted apartment hunting in NYC’s trendy Chelsea neighborhood.In case you forgot Grace used to work at Def Jam and left her husband for Usher, and supposedly has completely taken the reigns over his career. Word has it Grace and Usher’s mom Jonetta do not get along, so don’t expect to see her over for dinner anytime soon.

This dude should have stayed with Chilli. I think he has been making bad choices in women ever since than. But that's just my opinion.

Usher Returning To MTV’s VMA Stage After 6 Years


Usher, who released his new EP Versus earlier this week, is the latest artist to get added to the lineup at this year’s Video Music Awards, where he will grace the same stage as fellow performers Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, and B.o.B.

Usher, who’s nominated for three awards for his video for “OMG,” is making his first appearance on the VMA stage since he danced in the rain while performing “Yeah!” during the 2004 event.

“It is an honor to once again be a part of the MTV Video Music Awards,” said Usher in a statement. “I can’t wait to perform for my fans all around the world who have helped to make this album a success and my being here possible. You never know what’s gonna happen on an MTV VMA stage. … I look forward to making it a night to remember.”

Usher wearing Raf Simons Fall/Winter 2010 Astronaut Sneakers


R&B superstar Usher performed on ABC’s “Good Morning America” wearing a pair of Raf Simons sneakers ($715) from the Fall/Winter 2010 collection. These high-top sneakers are made up of mostly black and white leather with a green leather back ankle zip pocket, a strap and a large tongue. Usher sure loves him some Raf Simons, but I don’t blame him because their sneakers are pretty nice.

Tameka Foster is really a woman scorned…Usher’s ex has been airing her pent up frustrations on Twitter and this time she’s going in on Chilli. Ever since Usher’s VH1’s Behind the Music aired, Tameka has been on a roll. A few days ago, she stressed that “her marriage was real, but too real for the fake,” and today it’s Chilli’s turn.

Usher sings in Chinese at Beijing concert


R&B star Usher marked his first-ever concert in China by performing a track in Chinese.

"Wo ai ni (I love you)," Usher told fans during his first-ever performance in Beijing on Sunday, appearing with a special guest, Chinese superstar Lee-Hom Wang.

The "Yeah!" hitmaker and Wang teamed up to sing Wang's duet "My One And Only" -- and stunned the crowd by singing the lyrics in the country's native language.

Usher admits he was keen to impress the audience during his first full-length show in China.
"I wanted to make a great impression, so I wanted to do something very special," said of his performance. "After hearing (Wang's) music, I wanted to collaborate with him." Usher said at a press conference before the show that he came to China because he "knew there was an audience" for him.

The two also sang Usher's current mega-hit "OMG," which is currently No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts. This latest concert marks the first big foreign act to perform in the country this year.

Usher, who will release his new album "Versus" on Aug. 24, toned down the sexiness he usually exudes while performing as a sign of respect to his Asian fans, but encouraged them to sing along.
