50 Cent Sued Over “I Get Money” Beat


An Atlanta man is claiming that the money rapper 50 Cent earned off the hit, “I Get Money” is rightfully his.Tyrone “Caliber” Simmons, 28, claims he purchased an exclusive license for all the rights to use, record, publish, re-produce and perform the “I Get Money” instrumental beat, which was produced by William “Apex” Stanberry.

Simmons filed a lawsuit in the United States District Court, Eastern District of New York claiming that 50 Cent, Aftermath Entertainment, G-Unit and Shady Records knowingly infringed upon his ownership rights.“The misappropriation of copyright-protected material is an endemic problem in the music business, and particularly in the genre of hip-hop/rap This is one such case,” says Louis D. Tambaro, an attorney at Red Bank, N.J.-based Marks & Klein, LLP, one of the firms representing Simmons.“Our client was granted exclusive rights to the ‘I Get Money’ instrumental and was unceremoniously cut out of the loop when the defendants realized they had a huge hit on their hands.”

“I Get Money,” one of Fif’s biggest hits to date was one of the lead singles on his third studio album, Curits.It birthed a number of remixes and was #14 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 100 Best Songs of 2007. It peaked at #4 on Billboard’s Hot Rap Tracks

Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent K-I-S-S-I-N-G!


Though she’s denied it for months, Chelsea Handler might be ready to let the world know she and rapper 50 Cent are more than just friends.

Monday afternoon, the late-night talk show host Tweeted an intimate photo of the pair cuddling in bed, with Handler planting a big fat kiss on 50 Cent. “I don’t know why anyone thinks I would ever date a rapper, ” she tweeted alongside the photo.

The surprising pairing of 50 Cent and Handler, both 35, started making headlines in October when the duo was photographed together for the first time at a bar in New Orleans. And while the couple hasn’t publicly admitted their relationship, their chemistry was obvious as early as last year when the rapper stopped by Handler’s E! talk show, ‘Chelsea Lately.’ Even then, the flirting was palpable!

“It’s been going on awhile,” a source close to the couple said of Handler and 50 Cent at the time. “It’s more of a hookup thing — whenever they are in the same town.”

Handler denied the coupling then too: “Everyone, calm down. I met with Mr. Cent about a potential project. There’s nothing to report yet, I’ll let you know if there is,” she Tweeted in October.

Soulja Boy has unveiled the official music video for his single”Mean Mug” featuring 50 Cent.

The video features Soulja with the Hip-Hop mogul going back and forth while taking a few jabs at their enemies.

“Mean Mug” will appear on Soulja Boy’s upcoming release, The DeAndre Way, along with other hit singles “Speakers Going Hammer” and “Blowing Me Kisses.”

The DeAndre Way will hit shelves on November 30th and is now available for preorder on Amazon.com.

50 Cent Accused Of Stealing Concepts Of “Before I Self Destruct” From A Book


Rap star 50 Cent has found himself in some legal trouble, after a lawsuit has been filed claiming he stole the idea for his movie and album Before I Self Destruct.

The lawsuit, which was filed in United States District Court of New Jersey by the book’s author Shadrach Winstead, claims that the concepts were stolen from a book titled “The Preacher’s Son-But The Streets Turned Me Into A Gangster.”

Winstead’s lawsuit seeks an undisclosed amount in damages and seeks all profits and interests gained from both formats of Before I Self Destruct.

According to Winstead, 50 Cent stole the concepts for his November 2009 album and accompanying movie Before I Self Destruct, from Winstead’s book which was released in 2008.

“The defendant infringed the copyright by publishing and selling an audio visual work (a movie released in DVD format), coupled with an audio recording (“recordings”),” Winstead’s complaint reads. “In many cases, the content and word choice used by Defendants in their work is identical to that used in Plaintiff’s book.”

After denying that they’re dating, 50 Cent and Chelsea Handler were spotted on yet another date. According to US, a relaxed-looking Chelsea Handler and 50 Cent stepped out together in Malibu on Sunday. After a one-on-one lunch, the comedienne and rapper, both 35, drove off in his massive Rolls Royce.
Early last month, a source said that the duo have been casually dating for “a while. It’s more of a hookup thing — whenever they are in the same town.”

50 Cent Inks A 10 Movie $200-Million Dollar Deal!


Rapper/Actor 50 Cent has reportedly negotiated a $200 million dollar agreement with Grindstone Entertainment/Lionsgate to release a series of ten films.

Curtis Jackson, Randall Emmett’s Cheetah Vision, and George Furla’s Hedge Fund Film Partners are teaming on a 10-picture deal that’s backed by a $200 million fund. Grindstone Entertainment/Lionsgate will release the films.

First film under the deal is entitled “Set Up,” which was written and directed by Mike Gunther. Paul Walker is in talks to star opposite Jackson in the heist action movie, which begins shooting next month and is budgeted at $20 million.

Cheetah Vision’s Emmett also spoke on his confidence toward working with 50.

“The thing about ‘50 Cent’ is that, just like in his music career, he isn’t someone who sits around and waits for things to get done. He came to me and said, ‘How do we move quicker on projects?’ With this new fund, we are able to do that.”

50 Cent Comes to Floyd Mayweather Jr.’s Defense About Domestic Abuse Allegations


Rapper 50 Cent has stepped in the middle of the ring to help defend his good pal boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. against the domestic violence allegations made by his baby mama.


According to TMZ, Josie Harris made a 911 phone call early Thursday morning (Sep 9) claiming that Mayweather attacked her at his L.A. home. Cops arrived on the scene, however Floyd was no where to be found but will be brought in for questioning……Well like any good friend, 50 has jumped in the mix to rep his boy and tweeted not long after the incident.




“I talked to him before and after the situation he wasnt even upset. He said he asked her why was the house so dirty she started trippin.” He also tweeted. “Another case of angry baby mama wanting money. Police are looking for [Mayweather]. I just got off the phone with him.” 50 then added: “She’s claiming he hit her but has no bruises. Floyd went to see his kids last night if a fighter of floyd caliber hits u, u would b bruised.”


This is just crazy! SMH……. 50 can empathize though. His baby mama is off the chain crazy!

50 Cent Gets Banned From Twitter For Kim Kardashian Pic?

50 Cent's official Twitter account was suspended last night after the rapper posted a series of 'foul-mouthed' tweets and saucy pictures.

The rapper posted a pictured which he called Kim K's burger - apparently a reference to Kim Kardashian.


Fiddy tweeted: "Twitpic just suspended my account damn. They got 30mns to get it back or ima go haywire."
Fans of the hip hop rapper thought that the star's account had been hacked, but his tweet shows it was indeed him.

Fat Joe may soon have the last laugh against his nemesis if the New York rapper accepts the bid of a social networking site that’s offering him $100,000 to broadcast a live diss against 50 Cent.

XUMANII, a social networking/ media site that allows artists to live stream their concerts and sell digital tickets, is offering to shoot and stream Joe live on their website.

According to the site Joe will be guaranteed an offer of at least 10,000 people with the $10 per ticket asking price going directly to him.

Speaking on their offer Tandy Weems, the Chief Business Development Officer of Xumani, has released a statement saying that the company has long been fans of Fat Joe’s and assured him that they do not find humor in his ailing album sales of The Dark Side Volume 1.

50 Cent Wants Fans To Become Donors


50 Cent has appealed to fans to become bone marrow donors after he heard about a young Broadway actress Shannon Tavarez, who has leukaemia.

The rapper has been deeply touched by the story of the 11-year-old, who played Nala in the musical The Lion King. After being diagnosed with the disease in April, the youngster can only survive with the help of a bone marrow transplant.

It was because of Tavarez's condition that 50 Cent became a donor as he registered with DKMS, which is the largest marrow donor centre in the world.

WENN reported that the G-Unit rapper said: "My son is just a couple years older than Shannon and I can't imagine if his life was needlessly cut short when there is someone out there that could save him.

"Shannon's chances of finding a matching donor are slim because she's African American and Dominican and minorities are underrepresented in the national registry."

He also added: "Everyone, regardless of their race or ethnicity, deserves a fair chance at life. Registering to become a bone marrow donor starts with a cheek swab but it's more than that. It's a commitment to save a life."

50 Cent Wants to work with Lady Gaga?


Rapper 50 Cent may not be feeling Hip-Hop mogul Diddy and his Notorious B.I.G. remake Rick Ross all too much these days, but he is definitely a fan of singer Lady Gaga! In a recent interview with Rap-Up.com, 50 expressed his interest in working with Gaga in the near future:

“Yeah, I would like to work with her. It’d be cool. I think she’s fresh. I haven’t seen that before. What she’s doing now is new, with all the crazy dress codes and all that stuff.”


“A lot of things in music/entertainment are recycled. It’s gonna sound like a diss, but it’s no disrespect that you would see Lil Wayne wear a little black vest and that hat. I saw Cyndi Lauper wearing that; it was (just) on a different artist. And even the glasses that Jay-Z had on, that is Frank Sinatra. These are all iconic pieces coming back.”
