Singer Alicia Keys has given birth to a beautiful baby boy. Alicia and Swizz named their son Egypt Daoude Dean. Keys reportedly checked herself into New York’s St-Luke’s Roosevelt hospital yesterday.

The singer was spotted in NYC’s Soho area earlier in the day.

Swizz Beatz has opened up about his once-top secret relationship to R&B superstar Alicia Keys by saying that he is connected to his wife "spiritually".

Keys and Beatz married in a secret wedding in Corsica nearly a month a go and the producer says he's not phased about celebrity and celebrity status. He only cares about "great people".

During his "RapFix Live" interview with Sway, Swizz told MTV: "It's a blessing. I don't look at it as from a superstar basis. I look at my relationship with my wife as a union that's just connected ... spiritually. I'm not into the names and the superstars and this and that. I've been around that my whole life. It means nothing to me. It's just about great people."

The couple are expecting their first child together, and Swizz also talked about the love her feels for Keys.

He said: "It's just a feeling. Love is a word that's powerful but the feeling is even stronger."
Swizzy says that the reason that the couple work so well is that they have an understanding which enhances both of their lives.

He said: "To identify that feeling is something that's amazing because it doesn't only come from your partner. It comes from your love for music, your love for people, your love for a lot of things, and I think that once you identify the feeling of love, you'll be a better person. I'm a better man. I think that having love in your life, it just has that effect. Because then you spread love. You can't enjoy love without spreading love. I just think that it all falls in the pocket."

There was no yacht or over-the-top festivities – just family and close friends as Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz tied the knot in a private ceremony Saturday in a private home on the Mediterranean Sea.

The bride wore a Grecian-inspired Vera Wang dress and carried a bouquet of purple calla lilies. The groom was decked out in a Tom Ford tuxedo. The couple's friend Dr. Deepak Chopra presided over the nuptials.

The couple, who are also expecting their first child together, have been together since fall 2008. They announced their engagement and baby news in May.

It's the first marriage for Keys, 29, and the couple's first child together. While the newlyweds don't know the gender of their baby, Beatz (real name: Kasseem Dean, 31) says the addition of a child will be nothing short of magical.

"Whatever we're blessed with, that baby is being born to blessed parents," he recently told PEOPLE. "Alicia is definitely one of those great parents-to-be. She's super ready. Super glowing. Super happy."

Despite all of the rumours flying about, Alicia Keys and her fiance Swizz Beatz didn't get married this weekend.

The couple did however attend the 11th Annual Art For Life Benefit in East Hampton along with other celebrities such as Amber Rose, John Legend and Kourtney Kardashian.

Swizz Beatz said in an interview with People magazine that the couple aren't going to find out what the sex of their baby is beforehand. He said:“We don’t know. We’re just going to let that be magical. Whatever we’re blessed with, boy, girl, twins, that baby is being born to blessed parents.”

Despite reports from various sources earlier this week, producer Swizz Beatz denies he and pregnant fiancée Alicia Keys are tying the knot this weekend. “The wedding is not this week,” he told PEOPLE Magazine on Wednesday. According to rumors, the two were getting married this weekend aboard a private yacht. Not so, says Beatz. “Man, who’s paying for that?” he joked. He also shut down rumors that he will be managing Keys (who left her longtime manager late last week).
