The folks over at Mediatakeout.com reportedly screened the tape, which is being shopped for $100,000.

No word as yet from Nicki on the tape.

Promoter Of Nicki Minaj Concert Defends Expensive Event

The promoter of a controversial Nicki Minaj concert in Trinidad has spoken out in defense of the pricey concert, which caused friction between members of the government earlier this week.

Promoter Daryl Braxton and his independent, Trinidad-based record label D Project Records brought Nicki Minaj over for the concert, which took place on October 8th.

The concert draw condemnation from Diego Martin`s Central MP Amery Browne, who called for an audit of the event, which totaled $825,000 including $382,000 to Nicki and her entourage.

“People need to understand that the ‘Rep Your Colors/Localize Itt’ concert was not about packing the stadium and making a million dollars for ourselves,” D Project Records’ CEO Daryl Braxton said.

“It was a strategic investment in ourselves and our talent,” Braxton added. “Like her or not, Nicki Minaj is ours and not because we claimed her, but because she claimed us as her own! The fact that she’s currently at the top of her game makes it even sweeter.”

Nicki Minaj Talks Getting Fired from Young Money and More in Billboard Magazine Cover Story

“The First Lady (Gaga) of Hip-Hop” Nicki Minaj is featured on the cover of the latest issue of Billboard Magazine. In the December issue, the Young Money rapper (gearing up for the release of her debut album Pink Friday) talks about getting respect from her male hip-hop counterparts, getting fired from her last job “like 15 times,” getting kicked out of Young Money in 2009 and more!

Hit the link below for a few excerpts from the interview…

On getting fired “like 15 times” from her former job because of her bad attitude:
“The last job I had was as an office manager in a little, tiny room where I literally wanted to strangle this guy because he was so loud and obnoxious,” Minaj recalls. “I would go home with stress pains in my neck and my back. That’s when I went to my mother and said, ‘Look, I’m not going back to work.’ I’d been fired like 15 times because I had a horrible attitude. I worked at Red Lobster before that and I chased a customer out of the restaurant once so I could stick my middle finger up at her and demand that she give me my pen back. I swear to God I was bad.”

On not being a typical New York rapper, even though she’s from New York:
“When I started rapping, people were trying to make me like the typical New York rapper, but I’m not that,” Minaj says. “No disrespect to New York rappers, but I don’t want people to hear me and know exactly where I’m from. I wanted the album to be universal and versatile. It really feels like it speaks for every one of my personalities.”

On taking lyrical advice from Jay-Z in Robin Thicke’s “Shakin it for Daddy”:
“I had never met Jay at that point, but he told Robin Thicke that if I did the song I should say, ‘I be, I be, I be, I be, I be on that money shit.’ So I took that line and just ran with it.”

On getting respect in the industry:
“When I do songs like ‘Monster,’ when I’m on a record with Jay-Z and Kanye West, when I’m on a record with Wayne and Em — I definitely think the dudes give me respect,” Minaj says. “They haven’t come easy but I think people are starting to give me more props.”

On demanding perfection from those that work with her:
“I push people around me but I don’t push anyone more than I push myself,” she says. “I tell people all the time, ‘You want to work for me? You have to give 250,000%,’ because when I’m in the booth, I don’t half-ass it. I demand perfection from everyone around me and if you can’t live up to that, then bye-bye.”

On her becoming a “different human being” in the Eminem featured “Roman’s Revenge”:
“‘Roman’s Revenge’ is where I’ve become a different human being,” Minaj says. “I didn’t give a damn who I offended, whose feelings I hurt — this needed to be said, and it cracks me up when I listen to it. I’m a maniac on that track. I knew true hip-hop fans would love this.”

On getting (secretly) kicked out of Young Money in 2009:
“I started to record by myself and I lost track of what I was doing and who I wanted to be,” she says. “It wasn’t until I linked back up with Wayne that he gave me this speech. He said, ‘What happened? You were hot,’ and it just hurt me so much. I wanted to prove to him that I was still hot. It hurt my ego so bad that I went back with a vengeance.”

Wow! We didn’t know Nicki was kicked out of Young Money….they definitely kept that one under wraps pretty well, though we wondered why Nicki didn’t tour with Weezy & co. last summer.

Nicki’s debut album Pink Friday hits stores next Monday (Nov 22) and will feature collabs from Will.i.am, Drake, Rihanna, Lil Wayne, Kanye West, Eminem and more!

Nicki Minaj Talks Fans’ Tittay Infatuation

Many of rapper Nicki Minaj’s fans want her to sign on the dotted line. Just not the one you may be thinking about. In a recent radio interview with Power106 KMEL, Young Money’s first lady discussed her rise to success, the upcoming album and why female fans can’t get enough of getting their breasts tagged with her John Hancock.

“I have to have pink markers so I can sign lots of boobs.” says Nicki. “Whether I perform or not, I always sign boobs. Girls actually throw their boobs at my face now. It’s crazy.

She also discussed a recent incident where the booby barrage got a little out of hand.

“Yesterday when we were in Miami, last night, Baby and Mack Maine were just looking at me like, ‘Is this for real?’ Girls are jumping over, they don’t even care. The security be like man handling them. I be feeling so bad but they’re like, ‘Sign my boobs!’ and they’re up there climbing on the banister and just pulling their boobs out. [laughs] The girls are rock stars. I do feel this is a rock star era.”

As previously reported, Minaj is denying that the scathing bars she spit on the Eminem assisted track Roman’s Revenge were directed at Lil Kim, as many have speculated. Her album, Pink Friday drops November 22.

Nicki Minaj In YRB: “I’m About To Capitalize Like It’s Never Been Done Before”

Nicki Minaj is featured in the latest issue of YRB magazine, where she talks about her “competition,” her “breakout” moment and her new album “Pink Friday,” due November 22.

On Female Rappers Who Don’t Support Her

“These girls aren’t mad at me. They’re mad at themselves,” she states, shooting down questions on why she never took Kim’s bait. “[It’s] jealousy, insecurity and being broke. When you haven’t capitalized and you see I’m about to capitalize on this sh*t like it’s never been done before, then you’re mad at yourself.”

On “Monster” Being The Pivotal Moment In Her Career

“That has to be the breakout Nicki Minaj moment. That was my moment. People paid attention because of who was on it and because I held my own and I stayed true to my crazy animation, and it’s like I didn’t have to take my fun stuff out. I was able to incorporate Nicki Minaj on a record with Jay-Z and Kanye West. And I think people know that’s a difficult task in itself.”

On “Pink Friday”

“I know that Pink Friday is a classic album. I have never been this proud of anything in my life. I just think that it’s such a dynamic body of work. I’m no longer afraid to drop it. Now, I know it’s time.”

Nicki Minaj has fired Diddy from his position as her manager.

Nicki reportedly broke the news in a press release yesterday, October 18, stating that Diddy did not meet her standards.

She has replaced Diddy with star-maker Benny Medina, who currently manages mogul Jennifer Lopez, and whose oast clients include Mariah Carey, Gwen Stefani, Brandy and Usher.

She expresses regret over letting Troy Carter go; Carter manages Lady Gaga.

Nicki’s Statement:

“By now, everyone should now that I am really strict when it comes to my representation. I had sympathy for Sean however I feel as if I haven’t gotten the guidance the manager is supposed to give his client. Personally, I feel like I’m being managed by mother. Even if you play the smallest role on my team, I wish to see progress. I’d like to thank him for everything he has done for me; for taking me under his wing. I wish him the best with repping Rick [Ross]. But now that my album is about to drop, its time to get serious and stop playing games. If I could turn back time…I wouldn’t have made the decision to let Troy go.”

Keyshia Cole & Nicki Minaj’s “I Ain’t Thru”

On “I Ain’t Thru,” the first single off Keyshia’s fourth album (due in December), the two ladies get feisty, alternating verses about not stopping until they reach the top.

Keyshia has been off the scene since being engaged and giving birth to her son.

Nicki Minaj’s “Pink Friday” Album Cover Does It Creeps You Out?

With the release of her highly anticipated debut album right around the corner, the details surrounding Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday are starting to slowly trickle out.

Yesterday, we learned that the album’s release date was pushed up from November 23rd to November 22nd. Today, we get our first peek at the album cover.

And we’re a little creeped out.

Taking the whole “Barbie” thing to its extreme, the Pink Friday cover looks like Nicki’s been visiting Sid Phillips from Toy Story with her arms seemingly missing, and her legs stretched beyond their normal length.

This odd cover is rather appropriate for Nicki since her whole persona is centered around hyperbole and caricatures.

But we still find it creepy.

MUSIC NEWS: Rihanna Makes it Rain with Nicki Minaj + Young Jeezy’s “Thug Motivation 103″ Album Pushed Back + Ameriie Reveals 5th Album Title Read mor

Rihanna has already said that she’s collaborating with rapper Drake, and now the Pop/R&B singer is speaking on her collab with Drizzy’s Young Money labelmate Nicki Minaj. Rihanna says she and the Young Money femcee worked together on a song called “Raining Men” and spoke highly of Nicki’s skills as a writer in a recent interview with Capital FM. She said:

“You know I worked with her before on Rated R and she was just writing me some really good ballads and I couldn’t wait to work with her again and finally have her on my record. It’s a really fun song. It’s called ‘Raining Men’. No, nothing like the original. It’s quite up-tempo but kind of quirky and funny.

[Nicki] has a great buzz and she has a ‘thing’ to her. She is a star and that’s why people love her. She’s also really entertaining with her visual as well as her lyrics and she has a great melody. I’m really amazed that she can write like that. [Nicki] not only raps but she can write songs too. It was really easy actually. We were going back and forth with the texts on how we were going to get to do it because we were in two different places and had two opposite schedules.”

Rihanna’s upcoming fifth album Loud hits stores next month (Nov 12)!

YOUNG JEEZY’S NEW ALBUM PUSHED BACK (AGAIN)

Fans eagerly awaiting the release of Young Jeezy’s new album Thug Motivation 103 are going to have to wait until closer to Christmas as the project has been reportedly pushed back to December 14th.

The album serves as Jeezy’s fourth and is preceded by the singles “Jizzle,” “All White Everything” and “Lose My Mind,” neither of which are doing so well on the charts right now unfortunately, which would probably explain why the album keeps getting pushed back.

AMERIE REVEALS 5TH ALBUM TITLE

R&B singer Ameriie has announced the title of her fifth studio album. The “One Thing” singer recently premiered a number of tracks from the new album at a nightclub in Paris and revealed that it will be called Cymatika Vol. 1.

Speaking on her new album, Ameriie, who recently added an extra “i” to her name, said:

“It’s completely different! It’s not a hip-hop, R&B, soul album at all. It’s called Cymatika Vol. 1, I’ll have other volumes as well. Cymatika is the study of visual sound. As humans, we’re all energy and light and spirit; and sound plays a part in that because sound is simply vibrating energy. That’s what this album is about… about life and who we are, not being afraid to be who we are, and not forgetting our spirit.

“The album is influenced by new wave and acid house, which I explored in my album Because I Love It in 2007, which was released in Europe. For the fans who heard that, they’ll say, ‘Oh, I could see this coming’. For fans who loved the first album, they’re going to be like, ‘What is this?!’ But I grew up listening to everything, and this is where I am now. And it feels right for me.”

Cymatika Volume 1 is due for release sometime next year.

Homosexuals Forced In The Closet- Nicki Minaj vs. Bishop Eddie Long Controversy

Nicki Minaj- Bisexual Rapper

In light of all the controversy surrounding homosexual tendencies from Hip Hop To the Church… I pose a question does society cause homosexuals to stay in the closet? Nicki Minaj spoke about her sexuality as a bisexual female in OUT magazine recently. She said of homosexuals in the industry:

“There are a lot of people in the industry fakin’ it to make it. When you’re not keeping it real, you can be any damn thing people want you to be.”

I mean you tell me… If your favorite rapper, actor or Pastor came out the closet how would that effect your love for him/ her? Especially if he/ she is singing and rapping about heterosexuality? In light of Bishop Eddie Long being accused of homosexual acts while preaching on anti gay marriage, can we say that a homosexual has to “FAKE IT TO MAKE IT” or would you accept them as they are? Would a homosexual rapper actor or pastor be as accepted or successful as a heterosexual

Bishop Eddie Long ???

Why would you accept one over the other? Should they fake it to make it? Does society make it hard for a homosexual to be as successful as a heterosexual? Chime in and leave your comments below.

Nicki Minaj Accused Of Sending Subliminal Messages In “Your Love”

A video has hit the net accusing Nicki Minaj of sending subliminal messages in her hit single “Your Love.”

As previously reported, the song boosted the Young Money Barbie to the top of the Billboard charts and was the first single by a female emcee to top the Rap Songs category in over seven years.

Now despite its success, a naysayer has come forward to “expose” a hidden message inside the track’s audio.

A video posted online claims that if played backwards, the rapper’s hit song has a masked dark meaning.

The video alleges that the song talks of anal sex and explicit sexual content and uses Chris Brown’s version of the track as a reference to prove their point.

I don't hear it!!! This is just someone who has too much time on their hands.

Nicki Minaj Says Drake Wrote Alicia Keys’ “Unthinkable” For Her

Young Money first lady, Nicki Minaj is covering the October/November issue of Complex magazine.

In it, the rap diva discusses her relationship with Drake and Lil Wayne and talks about how she found out about Drizzy’s ‘marriage’ line on “Miss Me.”

“He told me he said something about me on a verse, but I didn’t think it would be anything like that. He let me hear it for the first time when we did Jay’s show at Madison Square Garden, the day before Wayne had to go to jail—that night he let me hear it on the headphones.”

Nicki also reveals that one of this year’s biggest R&B songs was actually written for her, telling the mag,

“You know what else [Drake] told me he wrote for me? The Alicia Keys song “I’m Ready.” I happen to love the song. I never told anyone that, I hope he won’t get mad that I said that.”

Minaj also touches on her relationship with her Young Money brethren and their playful ways with the media, saying,

“You have no idea how much I love them. We joke around. That’s the thing about Young Money, we will say a lot of crazy sh*t in the press but we will get around each other and start cracking up laughing like brothers and sisters. Drake is a playboy. He probably told mad *itches he wrote them songs for ‘em.”

Nick Minaj’s debut LP Pink Friday is set to drop November 23.
