Top choreographer Laurie Ann Gibson (aka “Boom Kat”) believes that Young Money femcee Nicki Minaj has the potential to become the next Lady Gaga. After working with Nicki on her VMA pre-show performance, Gibson says that she noticed Minaj had the same qualities she saw in Gaga three years ago before she took the world by storm.

Boom Kat told MTV News:

“What I love about Nicki is she has the eye of the tiger and she is fearless. These are the components that I saw about three years ago in LADY GAGA. I thought, ‘This is going to be fantastic.’ Her swag is amazing.”

The next Lady Gaga? Technically she’s already the Lady Gaga of Hip-Hop or the “Black Lady Gaga” (if you will) and if she keeps it up, she could even be bigger. Lady Gaga needed an album to jump-start her career, and here we are still waiting on Nicki’s debut and you still hear about her every day…
