It has been revealed that Justin Bieber “narrowly escaped” being arrested after he threw a water balloon at a US State Trooper.

It is thought that the squeaky clean pop star was nearly put into handcuffs, after the officer he hit, was left feeling wet and angry.

However, according to MTV News, JB was saved from being arrested after his bodyguard managed to cool things down, just minutes before Justin was due to appear on stage.

A source said that the Baby singer was: “Horsing around with members of his staff outside a trailer, when one of the balloons hit a trooper's gun belt and burst, and the other brushed a trooper on the chest but didn't burst.”

Although no further action was taken, Justin's behaviour has been described as “inappropriate.”

Phew! that was a close shave! We bet Justin won't be throwing water balloons around any time soon.
