R&B singer Trey Songz also came out to Drake’s official after-party for his Lights, Dream and Nightmares tour at the Greenhouse Nightclub in NYC. He was spotted wearing a Chicago White Sox fitted cap and a Dolce & Gabbana satin track jacket ($725). Rihanna was seen in NYC wearing an Alexander Wang Leather Sleeve Wool Cardigan ($625) and carrying a Louis Vuitton Gypsy Vert Bag (PM-$3,360, GM-$3.860) from the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. She was also rocking her favorite Miu Miu Studded Oxford shoes ($650), which are patent lace-up flats covered with small silver studs. See pics below.

Terri McMillan, author of the best-selling book “How Stella Got Her Groove Back” returned to Oprah today with her ex-husband Jonathan. For those unfamiliar with the story, Terry met Jonathan (who is 23 years younger) in 1995 while on vacation in Jamaica and moved him into her multi-million dollar home in Cali three months later. Three years later they married and after six years of marriage, Jonathan revealed to Terry that he was gay.

The couple then filed for divorce and Jonathan sued Terry for spousal support and attorney fees and ended up winning. Imagine that. Terry later slapped him with a $40 million lawsuit for emotional distress and ruining her reputation. She later withdrew the suit because she wanted to “let go”. On Today’s show she said of the suit, “After awhile, the anger..you own it and there is no room to let in beauty or love or any goodness. When I started realizing that had happen to me, I surrendered.”

It’s absolutely hard for me to believe that Terry McMillan never suspected that Jonathan was gay. I mean even Stevie Wonder could see that. According to Jonathan, he wasn’t completely honest about his sexuality because it wasn’t acceptable in his culture.

I came from a culture [where] you suppress your feelings and you’re not open to seeing different orientations, different sexualities,” he says. “Now I’m embracing my sexual honesty, my truth.

During the appearance on Today’s show, the two revealed that they are now “friends” again and Terry is releasing a new book titled “Getting To Happy”.

Oprah, please, please tell the other side to this story and other stories like it. I am also a man who got married and actually had children before I had the resources and courage to live my authentic self as a gay person. Yes, as a very young man Jonathan was swept away by the “ideal” of marriage and the religious argument against homosexuality (not to mention Terry’s wealth and influence), but can’t we please celebrate the fact that he had the courage and strength to break out of the double life and to truly be himself. I say hooray to Jonathan and many other men like he and myself.

Wait! Are we suppose to applaud these men for coming out after being deceptive and living double lives? I’m glad he finally came out but what about the women that are left to deal with these type of situations? I’m sure it’s devastating and embarrassing for all parties involved.

Just imagine, for awhile Terry had everyone thinking they could go to Jamaica to get their “groove back”. SMH..

Here’s part 2 of Jamal Parris’s interview with Fox 5 (who ran him down in a Colorado grocery store parking lot). He explains the story behind the camera phone photos of Bishop Eddie Long and also revealed that they had sex in the church among other places.

“Bishop Long is in the pulpit, Eddie Long is in the private, And we know Eddie Long. That’s a whole other man. “Enough is enough,” said Parris. “This man is– he’s done too much damage to the lives of young men and it’s time it stops.

In an exclusive interview in Colorado, where he now lives, Jamal Parris painted a picture of a bishop who is adored in public, but in private preys on young, impressionable men, looking for a father figure and love.

“Being around him is almost like a drug,” Parris explained. “You can’t believe the place you are at in your life and the things you are doing and the cars you are driving, and the people you are meeting. So, it becomes, if I want to continue to feel this love and this power, I’ll do whatever my dad wants me to.”

Jamal says that what the bishop wanted was sex. He said it began after he became of age, and he said it was constant.

“His house. The hotels. His condos. In the church,” Parris said. “In the church, before and after service.”

“Did you receive those pictures?” FOX 5′s Dale Russell asked Parris.

“I received those pictures,” Parris said.

“Did he ask for pictures like that from you?” Russell asked Parris.

“Yeah,” Parris replied.

Parris says the bishop exchanged pictures as he coached them on building up their bodies, and improving their physical appearance for him.

“The pictures speak for themselves,” said Parris. “A man in his underwear talking. Sending pictures from a bathroom, and it ain’t to his wife. It’s to us. They speak for themselves. You be the judge of that.”

Parris claims in his lawsuit the jewelry, the cash, the gifts, the trips in the bishop’s private plane came at times from church coffers, and that top church officials knew what was going on.

“Was some of the money that was spent on you and the others church money?” Russell asked.

“Yeah, absolutely,” Parris replied.

“No doubt about it?” Russell said.

“No,” said Parris.

He says he was surprised to find out other young men claimed they too were sexually involved with the bishop.

“All we wanted to do was talk and just say, ‘Help me with this hurt that you caused.’ And he had no sense of reverence, guilt, or remorse. So if you are not going to deal with us privately, then you are going to have to sit down publicly, one way or the other. But you are not going to hurt another young man another day in our lives.”

“I want my pain to stop,” said Parris. “I want the pain of the other sons to stop. I want to make sure this pain never starts for another young man that goes to this church. And I actually want his pain to stop.”

No matter how you look at it, the relationship these boys/men had with Bishop Eddie Long was not right. “Spiritual Sons”, “Sex Before and After Service”? Appalling. In both interviews Jamal almost sounds like a scorned ex-lover.

I am sure this is going on in many churches and organizations. I applaud them for coming out and trying to put a stop to it and save other young men. This Sunday at New Birth Is gonna be something else…

Chris Brown took to UStream last night to share details about his forthcoming album ‘F.A.M.E’ with his legion of fans.

On the back of his chart-topping success with ‘Deuces’, the re-ascending star revealed that a A-list remix of the cut is set to feature on the LP. Find out who’ll be featuring, as well as many other details on the album, below…

During a chat with fans on Ustream on Monday night, Brown spoke about the upcoming remix and his next album, F.A.M.E.

“I’mma let ya’ll know a little secret,” Brown told fans. “We got the ‘Deuces’ remix coming. ‘Deuces’ remix features myself, Fabolous, T.I., Drake, Kanye West, and André 3000. There you have it. My people are probably about to call me and say, ‘You weren’t suppose to tell anybody,’ but so what? I love you guys.”

The singer revealed that the remix to the kiss-off track is set to be released as soon as he receives a verse from West. “I’m actually supposed to be getting Kanye’s verse any minute now,” he explained. “I got everybody else’s very ready, so we’re waiting right now. We’re gonna put it together and have it to y’all either by next week or this week, probably Friday. I ain’t making no promises.”

In addition to treating Team Breezy to the big-time collaboration, Brown said that he will shoot a video for the remix.

Brown has been steadily releasing plenty of new music, including his pop single “Yeah 3x,” which Brown said he wrote in 15 minutes with Kevin McCall, Richgirl’s SeVen and DJ Frank E. “We actually got the beat and we did it in no time.” he said. “It was effortless. It was fun. It was sort of like when we wrote ‘Forever,’ so I hope you guys like that record. It’s more of a pop record, in the club record.”

The singer gave fans a taste of his other much talked about song “Calypso,” which may appear on the new LP.

“I wouldn’t say it’s my comeback album,” he said of F.A.M.E. “I just say it’s my album. I wouldn’t say it’s a comeback because I don’t feel like I went anywhere. I didn’t disappear. I still was in your face. But I feel like it’s a great album. It’s going to show a lot more growth and a lot more fun in music. It isn’t going to be as depressing, so to speak.” He’s also considering putting the remix to “Deuces” on the album as a bonus for fans.

Exciting stuff.

It’s great to see Chris really doing it big again these days. For not only is it a testament to the notion of everyone deserving a second chance, it also underlines the fact that true talent always prevails. Bring on the album!
