Wyclef Jean gets political with his latest song that he revealed on Twitter saying: "This is my new song contesting the CEP, in Creole. We want equal rights and justice!".
The song which is based on the singers critical view of the reasons behind the Haitian electoral comissions rejection of his presidential bid and is sung in Haitian Creole and as reported by Newsweek suggests that the singer's exclusion is also the rejection of Haiti’s youth, "peasants" and the country as a whole.
With lyrics that portray the singers dissatisfaction with the electoral system and also blame Haiti's president René Préval for his rejection, Jean sings: "Even though you say that the decision came from the Provisional Electoral Council, I know you hold all the cards. I voted for you for president in 2006, why do you reject my candidacy today?"
