Apparently prison bars won’t stop incarcerated rapper Remy Ma from dropping lyrical bars on a new mixtape.

It is being reported that the former Terror Squad femcee and Big Pun protégé is putting a mixtape and album together with husband, rapper Papoose, from her current residence at Bedford Hills Correctional Facility for Women.

Despite her grim circumstances Remy sounded optimistic about the project.

“I be killing him on all the tracks I’m on. I’m kidding, I’m kidding. Actually, we have so many songs recorded together, [Papoose] was like, ‘We’re doing the mixtape.’ We’re actually doing an album together and we have numerous songs together.”

The mixtape tentatively titled Mr. and Mrs. Mackie is scheduled to be released soon, with the album not set to see stores until after the rapper’s scheduled release date in 2013.
