Drake dons a suit and fedora hat in these newly released promo shots of the Young Money rapper in his 2010 MTV Video Music Awards promo, in which he seems to channel his inner Frank Sinatra, as said by Drake himself.

Drake is up for two moonmen this year in the categories for “Best Male Video” (“Find Your Love”) and “Best Hip-Hop Video” (“Forever”). Last year the Hip-Hop newcomer was nominated for “Best New Artist” for his debut video “Best I Ever Had” but didn’t go home with a trophy.

The 2010 MTVVMAs, in their 27th year, is set to air September 12th at 9 pm and will be hosted by Chelsea Handler……and in addition to Drake, will feature performances from Kanye West, Justin Bieber and B.o.B with more performers to be announced as the show gets closer. Nicki Minaj, Trey Songz, Ne-Yo, Ke$ha and others are scheduled to present.
