arrested for allegedly ejaculating in female co-worker's water bottle

SANTA ANA - A Fullerton man was arrested Tuesday for allegedly ejaculating into a female co-worker's water bottle, from which the woman unknowingly drank, causing her to become sick.

Michael Kevin Lallana, 31, allegedly ejaculated into the woman's water bottle in her office at Northwestern Mutual Mortgage Co. in Newport Beach in January. Prosecutors said Lallana left the semen-tainted water bottle on her desk, and she drank from it when she returned to her office.

According to the District Attorney's Office, the woman felt ill after drinking the water, and threw it away.

Lallana allegedly repeated the crime in April, after he and the woman had been transferred to the company's office in Orange. Prosecutors said the woman again drank the water and became sick, but this time she sent it to a private lab to be tested.

In June, the woman was contacted by the lab and was told the water contained semen. She then contacted the Orange Police Department, which linked Lallana to the crime through DNA, according to prosecutors.

Lallana is charged with two misdemeanor counts each of releasing an offensive material in a public place and assault, along with the allegation of committing a crime for sexual gratification. He was arrested outside his home and was later released on $500 bond.

He is due to be arraigned Sept. 14.
