An accused mother is out of jail on pending charges that she beat her 16-year-old daughter nearly unconscious with a cane. The 49-year-old's arrest report quotes her as saying "That [expletive] owes me $50.00 for rent". Police allege that Ranay Collins hit her daughter with the cane on the back of the head and on the back, slapped her across the face with an open hand and even bit her breast. Collins allegedly struck the teen so hard that the cane broke.
