Leicester Bryce Stovell
While looking about on http://www.bet.com/ this is what I found that I had no idea of.
SO apparently D.C. attorney Leicester Bryce Stovell, 55, has filed a lawsuit for fraud, defamation and misrepresenation claiming to be NBA star (and newly announced Miami Heat player) LeBron James daddy! Smh, the 6′8″ Princeton graduate told WaPo’s Reliable Source that:
“This suit is really about whether he’s my son and I’m his father…This is not one of those popping out of woodwork to exploit a celebrity’s fame and fortune.”
Excuse me Mr. Stovell but I have to call your bluff. Filing a $4 million dollar lawsuit sounds exactly like exploitation to me. Especially since you have some pretty jacked up reasons to believe that he’s your son.
So get this, he claims that in 1984 he had a brief liaison with James mother Gloria James, after they both attended DC nightclub Space. She apparently called him a few months later, saying she was pregnant and was going to name the child LeBron. Come on son, a few months, as in two or three? How could she know the sex of the baby already? But I digress.
Here’s the kicker. In 2007 after contacting James lawyers, he took a DNA test to prove his allegation. Of course the test concluded that he was NOT the father, a test that is 99.9% conclusive. Now Stovell is saying that the results were tampered with. I guess he’s back for more disappointment. This guy is nuts.
