Controversial gossip blogger Perez Hilton is in hot water for posting an up-the-skirt photo of underage singer Miley Cyrus.

Hilton Tweeted the photo Sunday warning readers, "If you are easily offended, do NOT click here Oh, Miley! Warning: truly not for the easily offended!" The photo, which was taken down amid controversy, shows Cyrus getting out of the car in a dress, seemingly without any underwear.

But with Cyrus still five months shy of her 18th birthday, Hilton could be facing more than just fan disapproval – according to Salon.com, he could face legal action for child pornography.

Los Angeles attorneys told Salon.com that Hilton "could be prosecuted on the state or federal level -- or both -- with a conviction potentially resulting in a 15 year sentence and lifetime registration as a sex offender
