Carrie Prejean, whose grammatically-mangled disapproval of gay marriage during the 2009 Miss USA pageant turned her into a conservative hero, is planning to give "opposite marriage" a go.
E! News confirmed that the fallen beauty queen plans to wed her NFL quarterback beau, Kyle Boller, this Friday in San Diego.
An employee for the Grand Del Mar Hotel says that the couple has blocked out a bunch of rooms at the resort for what's expected to be a lavish wedding this weekend (the group rate is $295 a night).
Prejean, 23, and Boller, 29, got engaged this February. The footballer plays for the Oakland Raiders and hails from Burbank, California.
The dethroned one earned her fame (or infamy depending on your political view) for stating that people can choose between same-sex marriage or "opposite marriage" but that she believed "marriage should be between a man and a woman" and that gay marriage shouldn't be legalized.
That stance upset out 'n' proud gossip blogger and pageant judge Perez Hilton, who voted against Prejean and subsequently called her a "dumb bitch" because of her views.
Donald Trump, who owns the Miss USA and Miss Universe contests, defended Prejean's response but later fired her for breach of contract after she failed to fulfill her obligations as Miss California USA. The testy Prejean ended up suing pageant officials, but abruptly settled after reports surfaced about her appearing solo in a sexually explicit video.
