A 3-year-old boy fell from the window on an apartment in the Bronx but survived, sources said.

The boy apparently hit some trees, which slowed down his fall, according to a neighbor, who rushed to the boy's side.

The boy, apparently the son of two cops, didn't suffer life-threatening injuries, police said.

The neighbor who helped him said that medics and police were on the scene in minutes.

The boy appeared to have fallen from a window that lacked window guards, sources said.
