Singer Bobby Brown has officially moved on from ex-wife Whitney Houston, popping the question Friday to his girlfriend of three years, manager Alicia Etheridge.

The R&B bad boy got down on one knee in front of concertgoers at Funk Fest in Jacksonville, Fla. Holding their 11-month-old son, Etheridge joined Brown on stage, PEOPLE magazine reports. Brown presented her with a ring as fans cheered them on.

Brown’s previous marriage to Houston lasted 15 years, ending in 2007. During those years, Brown struggled with substance abuse and spent time in jail, with one arrest reportedly for striking Houston.

Houston and Brown have a 17-year-old daughter, Bobbi Kristina Houston-Brown.
