Cooking pizza on on cemetery coffin wood????

italian prosecutors believe pizza in the southern city of Naples might be baked in ovens lit with wood from coffins dug up from the local cemetery, the Italian daily Il Giornale reported Monday.

"Pizza, one of the few symbols of Naples that persists ... is hit by the concrete suspicion that it could be baked with wood from coffins," the newspaper said.

Investigators in Naples are setting their sights on the thousands of small, lower-end pizza shops and bakeries that dot the city on suspicion that workers might "use wood from caskets to keep ovens burning."

Naples' graveyard is a well-known hunting ground for thieves. Last year, 5,000 flower pots were stolen from the cemetery.

"A gang might have set up a market for coffins sold to hard-hearted owners of bakeries and pizzerias looking to save money on wood," Il Giornale said.

Neapolitan pizza was invented between 1715 and 1725, with the world-famous margherita variant first cooked up in 1889.

Tradition has it that Queen Margherita of Savoy asked one of Naples' famed pizzaioli to come up with a dish for the people.

The result, which provides the basis for most pizzas enjoyed around the world, represented the colors of recently unified Italy: green basil, white mozzarella and red tomatoes.

Italy's estimated 25,000 pizzerias employ around 150,000 people and account for a turnover of $6.5 billion

Rock band member takes to many Viagra's

Kaulitz, 20, told Bild newspaper that someone offered him a Viagra pill during a concert tour of Asia. After first turning down the offer, Kaulitz said he decided to try one. He said a little later he took a second one and fell ill.

"I first asked the seller 'Do I look like someone who needs help with that?'" said Kaulitz, whose brother Bill is the group's lead singer. "He said 'no' — but that I should nevertheless try it out. I popped one in."

Kaulitz, a member of the German rock band that has sold millions of albums around the world, said he took a few more pills used to treat impotence when he got back to his hotel.

"I popped a few more pills, probably too many," he said. "The next morning my head was pounding and everything in front of my eyes was blurry. It wasn't fun anymore. It was pretty bad."

Kaulitz said it took two days for the effects to wear off.

"Unfortunately there were situations where it just wasn't appropriate," Kaulitz said.

World's Oldest Sex Toy

The oldest sex toy in the world—a siltstone phallus—was discovered in Germany and is said to have also been used as a tool to start fires, the New York Daily News reported.

The approximately 30,000-year-old artifact was found in more than a dozen pieces inside a cave and was later put back together by scientists at Germany’s University of Tubingen.

The prehistoric object features carved rings around one polished end, in addition to indented areas on the tool where it was struck against flints to ignite fires.

Scientists said artifacts displaying masculinity weren’t common during this time, making the sex toy discovery an unusual find.

Mother dies from a toliet brush handle in her butt!

Cindy Corton, 35, was left with the bizarre injury after a drunken fall in a friend's bathroom in 2005, but doctors missed it — even after taking X-rays.

It was two years before Corton, who was in constant pain, was able to convince doctors that the thin serrated plastic handle was stuck in her flesh.

By then, what should have been a routine procedure to remove it, had become much more dangerous because the handle was embedded in her pelvis.

After two unsuccessful operations in 2007, the mother-of-one was in such agony that she agreed to undergo further surgery in June 2009, despite being told it could be fatal.

Corton spent more than 10 hours in surgery at Queens Medical Center in Nottingham, England, but died from massive blood loss.

Doctors who first saw her at Lincoln County Hospital and Grantham Hospital, both in central England, were slammed for "serious errors."

"It was a significant foreign object,” West Lincolnshire coroner Stuart Fisher said. “It is difficult to image anything more significant."

Corton's husband, Peter, 61, is taking legal action.

"OK she was drunk, but they didn't take her seriously,” he said. “She showed them the wound, but they didn't do a proper examination. I think it was probably down to the hospitals trying to save money and doing things as cheaply as possible."

FAKE HARVARD STUDENT

A Delaware man who allegedly forged his way into Harvard University with a fabricated record of academic achievement has been ordered held on $5,000 bail after pleading not guilty Tuesday at his arraignment.

Adam Wheeler, 23, must stay away institutions involved in the alleged scheme, including Harvard, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Brown University and Yale University, surrender his passport and remain in Massachusetts, a Middlesex Superior Court judge ruled.

Wheeler, of Milton, Del., faces 20 counts of larceny, identity fraud and other charges in connection to allegedly duping Harvard out of $45,000 in financial aid, scholarship money and academic awards.

Prosecutors say Wheeler claimed he earned straight A's at Phillips Academy in Andover and at MIT prior to enrolling at Harvard. But Wheeler, in reality, had never attended either school, according to Middlesex District Attorney Gerry Leone.

Wheeler's web of academic deceit unraveled in September when he sought the school's endorsement for Rhodes and Fulbright scholarships and a professor reviewing his applications found evidence that he had plagiarized from another professor, Leone said.

"This defendant's actions cheated those who competed honestly and fairly for admissions and for the scholarships that this defendant fraudulently obtained," he said.

Wheeler, whose next court date is scheduled for June 9, would have graduated from Harvard as an English major this spring and tried to transfer to Yale and Brown after he was caught at Harvard, Leone said, again by falsifying his achievements and recommendations.

In his applications, Wheeler said he was employed by McLean Hospital, a psychiatric facility affiliated with Harvard, even though he was not, said Leone, adding that the transfer application included faked recommendations from an employee at the hospital and from his former Harvard dean.

Wheeler looked down throughout Tuesday's arraignment, occasionally glancing at his parents, Richard and Lee Wheeler, the Boston Herald reports. Wheeler's parents and a young woman with the couple did not comment.

Wheeler's attorney, Steven Sussman, declined to discuss the case in detail.

"I'd dispute that they are strong allegations," Sussman told the newspaper. "They are just allegations."

In a statement issued Monday, Harvard said it could not discuss individual cases because of federal privacy laws and referred all questions to the district attorney's office.

Wheeler was a student at Bowdoin College in Maine from 2005-07, but was suspended for academic dishonesty, authorities said.

Mara Hoffman Net Back Chiffon Gown worn by Rihanna

Not too many things visually take my breath away, but this Mara Hoffman Net Back Chiffon Gown ($1,058) accomplishes just that. The dress is captivating, and how the colors were chosen and arranged almost makes it a work of art. So I was not surprised to see pop singer Rihanna showcase the dress amongst the fog while shooting scenes for her soon to be released “Te Amo” music video.
