After going through a tragic miscarriage less than a year ago, Pop singer Celine Dion is pregnant with twins. The 42-year-old Canadian music icon has a 9-year-old son and is now 14 weeks along, as confirmed by her husband René Angelil. Dion and her 68-year-old husband underwent six in-vitro fertilization attempts, alongside having acupuncture to increase her chances of pregnancy. It’ll be another month before the happily married couple learns the sex of their twin babies.

“She was hoping for one baby and the news that we are having two is a double blessing,” Dion’s husband told People Magazine.

Back in Februrary, Celine Dion paid a visit to “The Oprah Show” to discuss her miscarriage, which happened six months after she announced her pregnancy in August 2009.

“It’s life. You know? A lot of people go through this, but it’s not being told because it’s not in the newspaper,” Dion told Oprah Winfrey. “I will be the happiest one to tell you when I’m pregnant,” she told Winfrey. “And if not, I’m the luckiest artist, especially wife and mother of a wonderful son. So I’m glad.”

A man has been accused of stabbing his pregnant girlfriend and her grandmother to death in a dispute at their Connecticut apartment.

Police say 23-year-old Yelisza Delvalle and her fetus and 79-year-old Ignasa Delvalle were found dead Sunday in their bedrooms in Bridgeport. The women had been stabbed and slashed with a knife.

Police say a couple of hours later they arrested Yelisza Delvalle's 24-year-old boyfriend at the entrance to the city's Lakeview Cemetery on two counts of murder.

The man was held on a $2 million bond.

Police Capt. James Viadero says the medical examiner will determine how far along the pregnancy was and that could prompt more charges. He calls the killings "a pretty heinous crime."

Neighbor Arlene Mercer says she'll put flowers and a shrine at the home where the women died.

Bright orange jail uniforms just weren't enough to make inmates stand out in one Oklahoma county.

Some may say the hot-pink shirts and yellow-and-white striped pants now worn by Cleveland County, Okla., inmates make them look more like clowns than criminals. But sheriff's officials say the uniforms are meant to make it easy to find inmates who escape.

Undersheriff Rhett Burnett says the old orange uniforms were too similar to scrubs medical workers wear. He noted that orange is one of Norman High School's colors, making it popular in the area.

The county switched to the new uniforms 16 months ago.

Burnett told The Oklahoman the sheriff just "wanted something identifiable that couldn't be duplicated."

A judge in Mexico issued an arrest warrant Monday for a former "Survivor" producer suspected in the killing of his wife while on vacation with their children at a Cancun resort, the state attorney general said.

Francisco Alor, the state attorney general in Quintana Roo state, said prosecutors would initiate extradition proceedings soon seeking to return TV producer Bruce Beresford-Redman from the United States.

Prosecutors will seek "international collaboration" in the return of Beresford-Redman once they have officially confirmed his whereabouts, Alor said.

Beresford-Redman has denied any involvement in the death last month of his wife, Monica Beresford-Redman.

Police detained the husband briefly and then released him after confiscating his passport and telling him not to leave Mexico. But Beresford-Redman returned to Southern California and stated in court documents there that he had been living with his two children for more than a week.

His attorney, Richard Hirsch, said in a statement before the warrant was confirmed that issuing an arrest warrant was a rush to judgment.

"We have been advised that Mexican authorities have issued a warrant for the arrest of Bruce Beresford-Redman," he said. That "is extremely disturbing since it appears that this case is being handled in a manner outside the normal procedures in Mexico."

Hirsch said his client is innocent and prepared to defend himself in court.

He also issued the first public statement from Beresford-Redman:

"Monica was the axis around which our whole family revolved. From her sisters and parents to my parents and of course to our children and me, she was everything to us," it said. "I am devastated at her loss; and I am incensed at the suggestion that I could have had anything to do with her death. I am innocent. My children have had one parent taken from them by a senseless act of violence. I implore the Mexican authorities not to take their remaining parent by a miscarriage of justice and to do what is right not just what is expedient."

Monica Beresford-Redman's body was found April 8 in a sewer at the Moon Palace Hotel resort in Cancun. Investigators have said her body showed signs of asphyxiation and evidence of a heavy blow to the right temple.

They said Beresford-Redman told them he last saw her after she left the resort to go shopping and never returned. Prosecutors say he reported her missing two days before her body was found.

Ali-Ollie Woodson, who led the legendary Motown quintet The Temptations in the 1980s and '90s and helped restored them to their hit-making glory with songs including "Treat Her Like A Lady," has died, a friend said. He was 58.

Woodson died Sunday in southern California after battling cancer, Motown Alumni Association President Billy Wilson said. Wilson said Woodson's wife, Juanita, told him about the death Sunday.

Woodson was not an original member of the group, which had several lineup changes since it started in the 1960s. But he played an integral part in keeping the Temptations from becoming just a nostalgia act.

By the early 1980s, the Temptations were no longer posting hit after hit like they did in the 1960s and '70s with classics such as "Papa Was a Rolling Stone," "My Girl," and "I Wish It Would Rain."

The group had lost original members, and Woodson was charged with replacing Dennis Edwards, whose passionate voice defined the group during the 1970s.

Woodson's voice, though similar to Edwards' with its fiery tone, was distinct in itself, and helped the group notch the R&B hits "Treat Her Like A Lady," "Sail Away," and "Lady Soul," from 1984 to 1986.


"He had this swagger about himself. He was cool. He had a coolness about himself that was really very inviting," said Wilson. He said he first met Woodson in 1980 before Woodson joined the group and that he last spoke with his friend about two weeks ago.

Despite his fame, Woodson was "always a gentleman and always polite and kind to everybody. If we ever asked him to do anything, he never said, 'well, it's going to cost you.' He'd always say, 'yeah, let's go,"' said Wilson, who founded the Detroit-based Motown association in the mid-1990s.

"He was just a star performer. Wonderful person. Wonderful, wonderful person. He was very kind."

Messages were left Monday for his former producer and manager. A recorded message at a phone number for his wife said the voice mailbox was full.
