Jersey Shore star 'Snooki' arrested

Always outrageous, Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi allegedly took things too far this time.

The petite reality star, 22, of Jersey Shore was being booked by the Seaside Heights, N.J., police department Friday after she was seen intoxicated in public, a police source confirms. Meanwhile, the cameras on her popular MTV reality show were rolling too.

Polizzi was expected to be charged with disorderly conduct, another source says.

"She didn’t hurt anyone or get in a fight," says the second source. "She just needs to be in a drunk tank for two hours."

A rep for the show declined to comment.

Al Gore Cleared in Sexual Abuse Case

Former Vice President Al Gore has been cleared of a massage therapist's sexual abuse allegations due to "lack of credible evidence," prosecutors in Portland, Ore., said Friday.

The Multnomah County District Attorney's office said a "sustainable criminal case does not exist" after looking into claims by Molly Hagerty, who alleged Gore, 62, had made "unwanted sexual contact" with her during a massage at his hotel in 2006.

Prosecutors declined to pursue the case after interviewing witnesses who were at the hotel and since Hagerty failed a polygraph test. The D.A.'s office also said forensic testing disputed her accusations.

"Mr. Gore unequivocally and emphatically denied this accusation when he first learned of its existence three years ago," Gore family spokeswoman Kalee Kreider tells PEOPLE. "He respects and appreciates the thorough and professional work of the Portland authorities and is pleased that this matter has now been resolved."

Authorities reportedly questioned Gore last week after re-opening the investigation.

Heidi Montag officially files for divorce from Spencer Pratt

LOS ANGELES – Fifteen months after saying "I do," reality TV stars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt are headed for divorce.

The 23-year-old starlet and plastic surgery devotee filed for divorce Friday in Santa Monica, Calif., citing irreconcilable differences.

Representatives for Montag and Pratt did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Montag began dating the 26-year-old Pratt while filming MTV's reality show "The Hills." The couple's April 2009 wedding was featured on the show.

Court documents show the two were legally married May 25, 2009, and separated on their one-year anniversary.

The media-hungry pair published a book together last year: "How to Be Famous: Our Guide to Looking the Part, Playing the Press, and Becoming a Tabloid Fixture."

Montag filed for a legal separation on June 8, which some dismissed as a publicity stunt.

In the divorce filing, she asked the court to deny spousal support to Pratt. The couple have no children.

Spotted: The Clinton's on their daughters big wedding day

RHINEBECK, N.Y. – Chelsea Clinton was poised to marry her longtime boyfriend at an exclusive estate along New York's Hudson River after weeks of secrecy and buildup that had celebrity watchers flocking to the small village for the Saturday evening nuptials.

The crowd began forming midmorning after weeks of intrigue and secrecy about a ceremony with a VIP guest list said to include such luminaries as Oprah Winfrey and Steven Spielberg.

The 30-year-old daughter of Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton was expected to wed her boyfriend, investment banker Marc Mezvinsky, at a ceremony with 400 to 500 guests. Details of the wedding were kept fanatically close to the vest, with shopkeepers, innkeepers, vendors and restaurateurs sworn to secrecy. Roads were blocked off, the skies were closed over the estate and inconvenienced neighbors were soothed with a complimentary bottle of wine.

Donna Vena drove 50 miles to Rhinebeck from her home of Mount Kisco, N.Y., in the hopes of spotting a celebrity.

"Why not?" she asked Saturday morning, a camera slung over her shoulder. "Big story. Maybe see Oprah."

Nearby, two young women passed out slices of pizza with "I do" written in pepperoni.

Hundreds of people gathered outside the hotel where many of the guests are staying were rewarded Friday night when the Clintons exited a van arm-in-arm outside the Beekman Arms Hotel.

Shortly before 11 p.m., the former first lady, wearing a long green dress, waved to the cheering crowd waiting behind metal barricades and quickly went into the hotel. She left with the former president about a half-hour later.

Earlier Friday, Bill Clinton made an appearance around lunchtime Friday, popping out of a car and walking a few blocks, greeting people on his way to a restaurant. Looking fit and relaxed in blue jeans and a black knit shirt, he gave easy answers to questions shouted by well-wishers and reporters.

The former president's half-brother, Roger Clinton, was spotted early Saturday afternoon picking up food at the same restaurant. When asked by reporters if he was excited, he said, "Yes, very excited" as he slipped into a waiting SUV.

The wedding is set to take place at Astor Courts, a secluded estate along the Hudson River built as a Beaux Arts style playground for John Jacob Astor IV more than a century ago. The estate features the sort of commanding view that once inspired Hudson River School painters, as well as 50 acres of buffer space to shield the party from prying eyes.

Chelsea Clinton and Mezvinsky were friends as teenagers in Washington, and both attended Stanford University. They now live in New York, where Mezvinsky works at G3 Capital, a Manhattan hedge fund. Mezvinsky worked previously at Goldman Sachs as an investment banker.

Clinton completed her master's degree in public health earlier this year at the Mailman School of Public Health at Columbia University.

Mezvinsky is a son of former U.S. Reps. Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky of Pennsylvania and Ed Mezvinsky of Iowa, longtime friends of the Clintons. His parents are divorced.

Lorenzen Wright Death Possibly Tied To Drug Kingpin

MyEyewitnessNews.com has obtained court documents detailing a transaction between Lorenzen Wright and an admitted associate of accused Memphis drug kingpin Craig Petties.

The documents show in 2008, Wright sold two luxury cars, a Cadillac SUV and Mercedes Benz to a man named Bobby Cole. At the time Cole was indicted on drug distribution charges in a case in Atlanta and admitted to FBI agents that he was associated with a drug ring connected to Petties. The cars were ultimately seized by the government.

Randy Jackson -- Nearly an 'American Idol' Casualty

Randy Jackson is the only judge returning to "American Idol" next season ... but that almost wasn't the case.

Sources close to production tell TMZ there was "serious talk" of a clean sweep of the judge's panel ... but we're told Idol brass wanted to keep a connection to the original judge's table, so Randy was spared.

As we previously reported, Simon Cowell left for "The X Factor," Ellen DeGeneres stepped down after one season and Kara DioGuardi was let go -- leaving Randy as the only remaining judge.

Welcome back, dawg!

Witnesses of the brawl said that the rapper was visiting someone at the luxury apartment building on 43rd Street when the fight started inn the lobby of the building.

According to TMZ sources, Brown was involved in the fight along with several others. But it's still unclear what started it. Apparently it took over 10 people to break up the brawl, and when the NYPD showed Brown had already left and no arrests were made.

Sources told the website that Brown was seen fighting with her manager - but when they called, her manager refused to comment.

Jennifer Lopez To Join American Idol

Jennifer Lopez is currently the hot favourite to join American Idol after Ellen has confirmed that she left the show after just one year on the hit reality singing contest, according to TMZ.

The comedian tweeted: "Dim the lights ... I've voted myself off American Idol."

She then explained how she made her decision to leave saying that she decided "a couple of months ago" and said that the show was hard.

Ellen said: "It was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings.

"I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be."

Will you still be a fan of the show if all of the judges leave? Aren't they part of the AI experience?
Jennifer Lopez is definitely more easy on the eye compared to Ellen - but what do you think her judging capabilities are?

Ellen DeGeneres leaving 'Idol'

The search for Simon Cowell's replacement has consumed "American Idol" producers for months. Now the showrunners are left with another high-profile seat at the judge's table to fill.

Ellen DeGeneres is bailing as a judge of the hit talent competition after one season, Fox and the comedian announced on Thursday.

"A couple months ago, I let Fox and the 'American Idol' producers know that this didn't feel like the right fit for me," DeGeneres said. "I told them I wouldn't leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.

She said it was a difficult decision, and blamed the heavy work scheduled, but also admitted: "While I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings."

Fox lauded Ellen on Thursday, but gave no indication when it would name a replacement for either of the departing judges.

Auditions for the next season of "Idol" began earlier this month in Nashville. The show returns to the air in January.

Indeed, DeGeneres' tenure at "Idol" was not deemed a great success. The novice judge was criticized for pulling too many punches and not having sufficient knowledge of the music industry. There also were reports early in the season that she was clashing with Cowell. In fact, "Idol's" ninth season with DeGeneres replacing Paula Abdul, was generally considered to be its weakest.

The hunt for an acerbic replacement for Cowell has drawn rumors that stars such as Elton John, Harry Connick Jr., Donald Trump, and Chris Isaak might soon be offering performance tips to contestants. It's uncertain if "Idol" producers will also try to complement the Cowell replacement with another sugary, friendly face on the order of DeGeneres or opt to go in the opposite direction. It seems unlikely, however, that they will once again take a gamble on someone with such limited knowledge of the music business.

DeGeneres and Cowell's departures mean that Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi will be the only judges returning for the show's 10th season. Ryan Seacrest also will return as "Idol"s' host and master of ceremonies.

"We love Ellen and understand and support her decision to bow out of Idol," Peter Rice, chairman of entertainment at Fox Networks Group, said in a statement. "We were fortunate to receive the humor, energy and love for talent that she brought to the show."

Pamela Anderson taking shots at Janet Jackson

Pamela Anderson has branded Janet Jackson "greedy" for signing up as the new face of a fur firm - calling the singer's backtrack on animal rights issues "disappointing".

The superstar has teamed up with BlackGlama to model the brand's mink collection, and the move has infuriated activists at People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) who called Jackson "desperate" for accepting the contract.

And outspoken animal-lover Anderson has join PETA in denouncing Jackson's fur promos, insisting the singer should never have joined forces with the company.

She tells Out magazine, "It's disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before. I don't know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it's sad."

Obama keeping up with Lindsey, doesn't know who Snooki is

Between fielding questions about the economy, Afghanistan, and racial tensions in the U.S., President Barack Obama got down to the important stuff on The View Thursday: the alleged rants of Mel Gibson, the jail term of Lindsay Lohan and Jersey Shore's Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi – and the burning question of should she run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska.

Quizzed by Joy Behar in a "lightening" round, Obama was asked if he knew if Lohan is in jail. "I actually know that, yes," the President responded.

But Snooki stumped him. "Should Snooki run as mayor of Wasilla?" Behar asked. Obama, laughing, responded, "I gotta admit, I don't know who Snooki is."

On his final question, the Chief Executive was thrown – or simply being diplomatic – when Behar inquired if he thought Gibson needs "anger management."

"I … I …," the President stuttered and then joked, "Let me answer the Afghanistan question!" He informed the panel he "hadn't seen the tapes."

Obama, who has two young daughters, Sasha and Malia, said he'd met Justin Bieber and thought he was "a very nice young man."

On a more serious note, the President discussed unemployment with the conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck and racism with Whoopi Goldberg. Ultimately, he said, he remains optimistic the economy will improve, and acknowledged that "I'm not perfect, my administration's not perfect."

Obama also touched on the fact he was not invited to Chelsea Clinton's wedding and said that when the time comes he also intends to keep Sasha and Malia's weddings private – and therefore probably wouldn't be inviting any of the ladies on The View.

American Idol Update: Jessica Simpson out, Courtney Love in

Rock star Courtney Love Cobain is in discussions to replace "American Idol" judge Simon Cowell, NBCLA has learned exclusively.

Sources close to Love tell NBCLA that the discussions are in the early stages, but they are serious.

Love is just the latest in a long line of names that have been mentioned as would-be replacements for Cowell, who many say is driving force behind "Idol's" success.

The always honest, but often polarizing judge left "Idol" earlier this year in order to jump-start the American version of his hit British talent show "The X Factor."

Other rumored candidates have included: singer Jessica Simpson, radio shock jock Howard Stern, Bret Michaels, Chris Isaak, Elton John and Justin Timberlake.

Former "Idol" executive producer Nigel Lythgoe has suggested the show replace all its existing judges.

If FOX agrees to place Love in Cowell's seat, she'll bring a rich, yet controversial history to the show.

She's best known as the widow of grunge icon Kurt Cobain. And she has attracted significant media attention over the years because of her battles with addiction and her rocky relationship with daughter Frances Bean Cobain.

But Love is also one of the most successful female rockers of all time. Her band "Hole" has sold millions of albums around the world. She's currently on tour supporting Hole's new release "Nobody's Daughter".

Love has also had success in Hollywood. She was nominated for a Golden Globe for her role in the "The People vs. Larry Flynt.".

Marc Jacobs BANG

One thing you might not know about Marc Jacobs: The man always smells ridiculously good. We caught a whiff of him as he breezed past us backstage at his fall 2010 show and the lingering scent left us blushing. But just when the color finally drained from our cheeks, the racy Juergen Teller-shot ad for Bang—Jacobs’ much-anticipated men’s fragrance—hit the Web in May. Now, two months later, the on-counter date of the new scent is almost here (it debuts Friday) and the Internet is abuzz.

Today marks the launch of Bang’s Facebook page and on Friday, when Bang becomes available, so does a new game—aptly titled “Bang! You’re It”—which will allow Facebook users to “bang” their friends and crushes virtually. Though sexually suggestive, Jacobs is quick to note that the word is multifaceted and has a variety of meanings: “When the word ‘bang’ came to me, I liked that it was a sound and also that it felt like something was finished, done, end of story and, you know, kind of complete.”

Mama Jackson Says Shes Not 'Doing So Well'

Katherine Jackson has revealed that she "hasn't been doing so well" since her son, Michael Jackson, died last year.

The video is thought to have been made before the King of Pop's first anniversary and she said: "Not a day goes by that I don't think about my son."

Katherine Jackson is currently promoting her new book 'Never Can Say Goodbye' and, according TMZ, the interview is parter of a big documentary about Jackson's life.

WTF Black Teen Attacks White Man For Listening To Rap Music

A Black Florida teen is possibly facing hate crime charges for attacking a white man.

The teenager’s actions were sparked because he heard the 22-year-old white man listening to rap music.

The victim was walking down a street listening to rap music, when the teen then told the victim to stop listening to rap music because“white people shouldn’t listen to rap music.”

He then struck the victim in the face. The 14 year old was taken into custody on Monday and charged with battery.

Yvonne Martinez, a police spokesperson- says the teen could face a hate-crime enhancement charge because he showed “extreme prejudice against the victim because of his race.” The state attorney’s office will review the charges while the teen is being held in the juvenile detention center.

Obama Gets Down With The Beatle

President Barack Obama joined in with a song with Sir Paul McCartney at the White House after presenting the former member of the Beatles with an award.

Sir Paul McCartney was given America's highest musical award which is the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song. The event was held at the White House in Washington where other performers include Corinne Bailey Rae and Stevie Wonder.

President Obama said:"It's hard to believe that it's been nearly half a century since four lads from Liverpool landed on our shores and changed everything overnight."

The Beatles star said: "There could not be a greater place for my band and I to play. It is an incredible honour. Not only to receive this award but to perform in front of this President."

Will & Jada’s Broadway Play “Fela!” Getting Sued

A Brooklyn-based photographer is suing “FELA! on Broadway” for allegedly ripping off a picture that features prominently in the Tony-award winning musical.

Marilyn Nance says her shot of the late musician Fela Kuti’s Nigerian nightclub is being used without permission as part of the production design for the critically acclaimed hit show.

Nance’s Manhattan federal court suit — which seeks $150,000-plus in damages for copyright infringement — alleges that her photo is projected “onto or above” the stage and “effectively serves as the backdrop for the FELA! set.” She claims that the image was displayed during 40 percent of the June 27 performance of FELA!, including the entire 16-minute intermission.

Also, she claims the photo appears in the show’s $10 souvenir program book with a bogus attribution to “Monique Carboni,” as well as in the booklet for the $25 original cast recording CD and a promotional music video, the suit alleges.

FELA! publicist Richard Kornberg called Nance’s suit “without merit,” noting that her shot is of a “public building in Lagos, Nigeria.”

Breaking News: NBA Player Lorenzen Wright found dead

The body of missing Memphis basketball star Lorenzen Wright, a former Hawk, was found in a wooded area in the city’s southeast side, the Commercial Appeal is reporting.

The information about Wright's death is coming from an unnamed law enforcement source, the newspaper said. The Memphis Police Department won't officially comment, the Commercial Appeal said.

Wright's uncle, Curtis Wright, told the Associated Press that police called the player's father, Herb Wright, a couple of hours ago.

Wright, 34, who had been missing since July 19, recently flew from Atlanta to Memphis to visit friends and his six children, friends said.

He was scheduled to drive back to the Atlanta area July 19, with his six children and a friend, the Commercial-Appeal said.

He was last seen at about 2 a.m. July 19, leaving his ex-wife’s Whisperwood Drive home, the newspaper said.

His former wife told police she doesn’t know who he left with or what type of car they were in, according to the missing person’s report.

The 6-foot-11 Wright starred at the University of Memphis before being drafted No. 7 overall in 1996 by the L.A. Clippers. He played for the Hawks from 1999-2001, spent the next five seasons with Memphis, and returned to Atlanta for two more seasons in 2006-08. He last played for Cleveland in 2008-09.

Wright's best season as a Hawk was 2000-01, when he averaged 12.4 points and 7.5 rebounds.

Before he went missing, the power forward Wright split his time between Atlanta and Memphis, the AJC has reported.

He attended a couple of Hawks playoff games this spring, supporting his friend Josh Smith.

In January, Wright ran into Hawks vice president of public relations Arthur Triche at a restaurant, where they watched the BCS championship game.

"He was still the same outgoing, gregarious individual he always was," Triche told the AJC. "Nothing would have led us to believe something like this would happen."

Wright spoke then of catching on with another NBA team. But he did not play at all last season, ending a 13-year career.

Triche said he was unaware of Wright's alleged financial problems: The Commercial Appeal reported his custom-built 17-room home in Eads, Tenn., was repossessed in May for $1.3 million, and that his Atlanta house was repossessed in January for $1.1 million.

The Associated Press and staff writers Marcus K. Garner, Larry Hartstein and Chelsea Cook contributed to this report.

Chris Tucker may be joining Wesley Snipes in prison if he doesn't pay the IRS

Chris Tucker's ongoing tax problems have surpassed even Wesley Snipes. According to new docs, the "Rush Hour" star now owes the IRS more than $11 million in back taxes.

The Internal Revenue Service filed documents with the L.A. County Recorder's Office yesterday, which show Tucker owes $11,571,909.26 in federal taxes for the years 2001, 2002 and 2004 through 2006.

Here's how it all breaks down:

2001 -- $4,007,794.34
2002 -- $5,060,074.23
2004 -- $55,544.84
2005 -- $660,414.94
2006 -- $1,788,080.91

But this isn't Tucker's first issue with taxes -- as we previously reported, the State of California filed a lien against Tucker for allegedly not paying $3,594,409 in state taxes over the same time span.

Back in 2001, Tucker reportedly took in a $20 million payday for "Rush Hour 2" and scored $25 million for "Rush Hour 3" which hit theaters in 2007.

So far, no word from Chris' people on the tax situation.

Jessica Simpson may be the next American Idol Judge

Jessica Simpson has had "several meetings" with the producers "American Idol" in the hopes of taking over Simon Cowell's judging duties and sources involved tell say there's "mutual interest."

"Idol" is expected to make an official announcement regarding the judge situation sometime around the beginning of September.

So far, FOX has no comment on the situation.

Rick Ross album debuts at a close #2, Eminem remains #1

Eminem makes it five weeks in a row at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 as "Recovery" sells another 187,000 (down just 4%), according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Rick Ross' "Teflon Don" arrives in the runner-up spot with 176,000. Ross' last three studio albums all debuted at No. 1, with his last set, 2009's "Deeper Than Rap," arriving with 158,000. The opener for "Teflon" is Ross' best sales week since 2008's "Trilla" arrived with 198,000.

A week ago industry observers had initially projected that Ross had a good shot at a No. 1 debut. However, "Recovery" held on strong with a small weekly sales decline. Chalk that up in part to its sale pricing at Target and Best Buy and the continued popularity of its single "Love the Way You Lie." It reigns atop the Digital Songs chart for a fifth straight week (332,000 downloads; down 6%).

Update: Elton John & JustinTimberlake say 'NO' to Idol

A rumor issued by The Hollywood Reporter yesterday that Justin Timberlake and Elton John have joined the list of potential Simon Cowell replacements on "American Idol" has been denied, according to Deadline. Representatives of both Timberlake and John have said that reports of their involvement with "Idol" are unfounded due to the artists' hectic schedules.

Kanye interrupts Twitter

Better late than never. Kanye West joined Twitter on Wednesday – and so far, it hasn't exactly been smooth sailing for the outspoken musician.

"Up early in the morning taking meetings in Silicone Valley," the rapper Tweeted, before noticing his spelling error.

"Lol I spelled Silicon wrong ( I guess I was still thinking about the other type of silicone ITS A PROCESS!! : )," he wrote.

Apart from his spelling error, what's biggest surprise about West's Tweets? They're not in caps lock, his preferred method of writing on his blog. No word yet if he plans on hijacking Britney Spears's Twitter – the most-followed account on the site – to announce that his is the "best Twitter of all time."

They will never, I repeat never let this man rest in peace. There will always be some Michael Jackson rumor or some person surfacing that claimed that he had sex with them or he slapped them and now they want to get paid. The foolishness will never end for him even in death.

According to TMZ, A woman who claims to be Michael Jackson’s illegitimate love child — conceived when MJ was a minor — has filed legal documents claiming there was a diabolical plot to cover up her existence … involving murder, abduction and Diana Ross’ sister.

The alleged MJ spawn — Mocienne Petit Jackson — has filed documents with L.A. County Superior Court claiming she will surely be in line for a serious inheritance check … if a judge will give the go-ahead on a DNA test. MPJ claims back in 1975, 17-year-old Michael Jackson secretly impregnated her mother Barbara … who happens to be Diana Ross’ sister.

MPJ claims when she was 9 years old, Katherine Jackson hatched a plan to “abduct” MPJ and send her to Belgium to protect Michael’s “reputation.” She claims all 7 of her abductors were later murdered. Now MPJ who currently lives in the Netherlands has decided to come forward with her story … so she can “formally claim my part of my father’s inheritance.” She also wants custody of MJ’s kids so she can give them a “more normal life.” MPJ also claims she was diagnosed with Vitiligo.

Michael Jackson was a cash cow when he was alive. He spent his life being used by his Father and sometimes other members of his family. In death he is still that same vessel for fame and opportunity. How many times is someone going to come forth claiming to be the love child of MJ and some other unknown woman? Do these people have any shame? What happens when the blood test is done and it turns out you were lying? The boldness of these people who not only want to tarnish a dead man’s name but also further confuse his children who I’m sure have seen and gone through enough madness for two lifetimes.

MJ could very well have had some secrets that the general public was not aware of. I do not think he was a Saint. However some of the stories that have developed since his passing are becoming more and more unrealistic. The idea that Katherine Jackson hired a hit man of sorts to prevent the truth from being revealed is ridiculous in itself. Honestly, I want us all to let the man rest in peace. Everyone from his family to strangers should stop trying to think of ways to make money from a famous dead man. I realize that this will probably never happen.

What do you think? Does this woman story have any validity? Could Michael Jackson have any deep dark secrets that the fans or family are not privy to?

Janet Jackson Is Greedy Says Anderson

The singer and actress, who became the spokesmodel for the brand's mink collection, has also been heavily criticised by animal right's organisation PETA for the campaign.

Anderson told Out magazine: "It's disappointing. She has spoken out against fur before.
"I don't know why some people stop listening to their heart. I guess some people get greedy, but it's sad."

M.I.A Goes On A F-Ing Rant About Lady Gaga And Oprah

M.I.A. has been less than complimentary about popular celebrities Lady Gaga and Oprah Winfrey in a recent interview with Time Out London.

The female rapper says that she was given the "cold shoulder" by Winfrey at New York's Met Ball in May - she also said that she is not impressed with the amount of attention that Lady Gaga is receiving.

M.I.A. said: "[Oprah] made this huge speech at the ball praising Lady GaGa about how she is helping Americans to be the best of themselves. "There's millions of other Americans who represent that for me. Is [it] about numbers? About how much you're selling? Is it truly about the journey? Because [Lady GaGa's] journey isn't that difficult: to go from the f**king Upper East Side to a f**king performing arts school and onto a stage at the museum of f**king wherever. That journey's about four miles."

The controversial rapper then revealed that Oprah seemed to be angry with her and deliberately ignorning her.

She said: "Oprah seemed like she was giving me the cold shoulder. She was with [David Bowie's wife] Iman. Iman was always dancing with me, hugging and kissing me, but Oprah seemed really p*ssed off with me."

Rihanna Joins Cast Of 'Battleship' - Her Big Screen Debut

Rihanna will take her first step into Hollywood with a role in director Peter Berg's science-fiction-tinged board-game adaptation, "Battleship."

There's no word on how her character factors into the story, but Variety confirms that the "Love the Way You Lie" singer is joining the cast that already includes Taylor Kitsch and Alexander Skarsgård, who play brothers and naval officers assigned to a multinational task force charged with repelling alien invaders. Also cast is Tadanobu Asano, who is perhaps best known for his leading roles in "Ichi the Killer" and Genghis Khan biopic "Mongol."

Rihanna has yet to appear in a feature film, but she was the subject of a casting rumor in late 2008 that still persists. Wu-Tang member RZA told MTV News that he was co-producing a remake of martial arts classic "The Last Dragon" with Samuel L. Jackson, who is also set for a starring role. "That's the one I'm rooting for," RZA said at the time in reference to the potential Rihanna casting. "We're keeping that same concept of the girl being in the music business," he added, referring to one of the movie's plot points.

The pop singer is currently at the top of the charts with her Eminem collaboration, "Love the Way You Lie," and the track's video, featuring Megan Fox and Dominic Monaghan, is expected to premiere this week.

Kitsch is no stranger to working with Peter Berg, with a leading role on the filmmaker's popular TV series, "Friday Night Lights." He'll star with Malin Akerman and Ryan Phillippe later this year in "The Bang Bang Club," and 2012 will see the release of his turn in "John Carter of Mars." Skarsgård is best known for his role on the hit HBO vampire series "True Blood." He's got a number of films lined up, including a remake of "Straw Dogs" and Lars Von Trier's "Antichrist" follow-up, "Melancholia."

Universal has set "Battleship" for release on May 25, 2012.

Aretha Franklin and Condoleezza Rice to duet for a good cause

PHILADELPHIA — Condoleezza Rice is no stranger to the whims of royalty. So when the Queen of Soul herself, Aretha Franklin, decided the two should get together to play a song or two for charity, it was decreed.

The former U.S. secretary of state and Franklin take the stage Tuesday evening at Philadelphia's Mann Music Center in a rare duet for Rice, the classically trained pianist, and Franklin, the divalicious voice of a generation. Their aim is to raise money for urban children and awareness for music and the arts.

"It is a joint effort for the inner-city youth of Philadelphia and Detroit," Franklin told The Associated Press the night before their concert with the Philadelphia Orchestra. Their appearance will brim not only with Franklin's catalog of hits, but arias from the world of opera and classical music.

"We decided to give it a try," Franklin said. "So here we are, in the city of Brotherly — and Sisterly — Love."

Rice, better known as a diplomat and national security adviser, will accompany Franklin singing her hits "(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman" and "I Say a Little Prayer." Rice said she's been practicing furiously for her performance of Mozart's piano concerto in D Minor with the orchestra.

Franklin's repertoire will include songs from her new album "A Woman Falling Out of Love," to be released later this year.

Rice's given name is derived from the Italian opera stage instruction con dolcezza, meaning "with sweetness." Long a musician of note, she played from elementary school through college and beyond, in quartets and performing chamber music.

She has even played with cellist Yo-Yo Ma but "this will be the first time I've played with an orchestra since I was 18," she said.

When she learned that Rice played classical music, Franklin sent for one of her recordings "to hear what she sounded like."

Previously, she said, "All I had seen of Dr. Rice was in a political atmosphere. It just seemed foreign that she would be a classical pianist."

Franklin was surprised.

"She really does play," Franklin said. "She's formidable."

The two met at a White House function, Rice recalled. "We were just talking and chatting and she said 'You play, don't you?' And I said, 'Yes.' And she said we should do something together."

Rice told the AP their plan to play together was borne of their mutual appreciation for music and determination to keep it near and accessible to children.

Franklin, relaxing in her hotel suite and holding a single long-stemmed peach-hued rose, deplored school budget cuts of music and arts programs as "a travesty" that cannot be allowed.

"Imagine what all of this would be without music. If you have to cut, cut something else. Not the music. We need the music. It soothes the savage beast. We need the music."

Rice, in a separate interview, agreed.

"Nothing makes me more unhappy than when I hear people talk about music education in the schools as extracurricular," Rice said.

Both women lauded each other's talents, and abilities, but Rice made it clear she'll leave the singing to Franklin.

"You do not want to hear me sing!" Rice said. "I'm a good choir musician, but I think I will stick to playing the piano."

Jennifer Lopez caught making sure her famous ASS is sitting right

Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony touched down in LA yesterday after a weekend getaway with their children Max and Emme in Cabo. The reason for the trip was Jennifer's 41st birthday, which was on Saturday. J Lo broke from the celebrating to fit in a run along the beach, and all her hard work isn't going unappreciated — she was spotted checking out the reflection of her famous backside on her family's minivan at the airport. Jennifer's quick vacation also gave her a break from dealing with the fallout after canceling a controversial concert in a politically sensitive area of Cyprus.
